He definitely should’ve gone and looked for a managerial role. The longer he stays at Everton the less likely it is he’s ever going to get the Everton manager’s job.

I think he should have gone. I can understand why he has stayed tho. Am not fussed either way. I am just glad he’s not Lampards number two and Frank got to pick his own assistant manager.

Agreed. I think for both parties, a fresh start is needed and he should fly the nest.

Complex. I think that the smart play for all concerned is to have him finish the season out, with the principal remit being to find work elsewhere. Finding a coaching/managerial job elsewhere midseason is tough. Ask Lampard.

Neither poll option really captures my position, so I did not vote. If he's still here at the beginning of next season, option #2, but the poll will have closed.

Should have been fired. Not even given the choice. If ANY of us performed our own jobs as badly as he has over the years we would have all been fired. He wasn't even that great of a player.

Sure I’ve read the players like him as a coach and he’s helped the forwards improve their game.

Maybe he just want to be here, but he’ll just have to accept not being the Everton manager if he doesn’t get experience.

That's not strictly what the earlier discussion was about. I'd vote for 2 but my answer that kicked it off was

"I think not binning Dunc was an outright effort to keep the peace. A lot of fans would have taken it badly and thus the bad vibes would continue."

I also think he's on his way, on his own terms. You cannot be seen to come in and sack a legend 10 minutes later. It may not go down well with fans and players. He's had his demotion and will be gone I'm certain. Humility it's called. Well done Frank.
