Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Really? What did they offer you for because I love Thanksgiving dinner specially the ones my family puts together. We add a rub to our Turkey to make it more flavorful. We also make a delicious sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole (my favorite one), mash potato and mushroom gravy, stuffing, cranberry chutney, and a salad. We usually also order a honey baked ham for those who are not too fond of turkey. And for dessert it is apple, pecan or sweet potato pie. Never cheesecake and yes, most American cheesecake is baked and tends to be denser.
Sorry to say but the menu seems the same I just think they made theirs too bland .I was so looking forward to it ,it is almost every movie set around that time and I was left aghast at the lack of flavour .

Good morning @messymascot how was your night - I hope you got a decent kip?

I got some sleep just contemplating getting up as we speak. It was disjointed and oddly I had a dream where I swung my arms behind me but I must not have been completely asleep and swung my actual arms behind my head and they crashed into the headboard. They were a little sore for half an hour afterwards. Fortunately the pain seems to have gone. However I know I didn't dream it as I can see a bruise starting to form on one of the impact points. I lost my voice for about 8 hours yesterday, it'd come back to me today but it sounds a little different.

How you keeping hope all is good? I've decided I'm going to have a quick ride of the forums then I'll get up.

All good here mate. The lids have begun the seasonal air bomb raids so the run into bonfire night is well underway in Liverpool.

Morning Messy sending best wishes as always. My day ended in spectacular fashion yesterday. Lovely evening so decided to walk to retail park to collect parcel instead of driving. On the way home next thing I know pavement is rising up to meet me and husband asking me if I’m okay. Nothing broken fortunately but bled for England so must have looked quite a sight walking home. Two people at bus stop and one bloke walked by, no one stopped to help. Now look as though I’ve done 10 rounds with Tyson Fury, split lip and chin. You’ve got to laugh except I can’t it hurts too much?. Take it easy.?

I ended up falling asleep just woke up now from that little nap!

Nothing worse than tripping up as you usually have no time to react. I'm glad there is no broken bones but sounds like you are a bit of a mess. People can be funny creatures I would always check see if someone is ok, but them that wouldn't now have a ready made get out of jail free card of covid. I wish you well on your recovery.

Have a grand day both of you.

And great fo taking any tablets with ,I have to sometimes take painkillers that are too big but with joghurt you seem to expect lumps and down it goes .
When I came out of hospital recently they gave me a course of anti-biotics tablets. They were huge. I cut them in two, made it slightly easier.
