Yes niether Pienaar or Baines, appeared as good without eachother. Also Baines in his pomp, was a better defender than Dinge is.I thought he was going to be our new Pienaar too, small, quick feet and skillful... He didn't have a left back with a telepathic thought process though, I don't think you get many natural partnerships that Pienaar had with Baines. Also Bernard is too lightweight with no idea how to capitalise on it, Pienaar was fab at either getting a sneaky ball to his partner or going over for a free kick.... Intelligence is so important in the modern game and P had that in spades....in his pomp.
Be honest,be you did after that Chelsea game.Just another in the long list of managerial blunders to set us back. He's not alone on the list but he might be the mostly weirdly beloved considering he was pretty much bad the entire time he was here. It'd be like if 90% of Evertonians swore Naismith was class.
Nice to see my never sign midgets mantra is proving once again to be TRUTH.
All stronger faster if not both...Were you against the original midget Inchy Adrian Heath, Peter Beardsley, Tony Cottee, Pat Nevin...Limpar...any others?
I despised Cottee. Were you against the original midget Inchy Adrian Heath, Peter Beardsley, Tony Cottee, Pat Nevin...Limpar...any others?
