Usmanov

The whole point is that if we were owned by Usmanov then USM has assets of $23bn. So even if he didn't want to use his own cash USM could take out a loan at a very low rate and provide Everton with an intercompany loan.
No he couldn't as that would link the companies. Moshiri now owns 9% of USM so that there is no impropriety. We are not owned by USM.

"For instance, he has agreed to underwrite a share issue of £250m. However, of that £250m only £50m will go to the Club with the other £200m going to repay debt owed to Moshiri."

Is this true? So we could be skint this summer?

No, they don't understand what a share issue is.

Issuing of shares is a way of Moshiri putting money into the club, he isn't being repaid anything from the club right now he's giving money to the club which will be repaid in the future when he sells those shares.

He isn't giving money to the Club he is underwriting a share issue. In effect, he is creating a bigger pie that he owns a bigger share of.

The idea that Moshiri is pumping money into Everton as a benevolent act needs knocking on the head. He initially bought less than half of the Club after the share issue he will own 92%.

You are chatting wham.

This share issue is an investment.

The bigger pie he is creating doesn't matter at all unless you hold part of the remaining shares.

Where's the malevolence in the act of a share issue?

Utter nonsense

How is the share issue an investment, Moshiri is converting a soft loan into owning a greater share of the Club.

A share issue means all shareholders get to invest in Everton. The problem is if we small shareholders invest in Everton then 80% of that investment effectively goes straight to Moshiri.

It's very simple

The club gets cash it didn't have before.

"Converting a soft loan into owning a greater share of the club"

And what's your point? The only one this possibly hurts in any situation is Moshiri never getting that money back when he sells up.

A share issue doesn't mean anyone can buy the shares at all. Stop making stuff up. It just means there are more shares created. We are a private business not on the public market. You genuinely don't have a clue.

Do you own a share in EFC? I'm going to hedge my bet and say you don't.

The vast majority of the share issue goes to paying back Moshiri's soft loans. Moshiri doesn't get hurt because his soft loan gets turned into owning a greater percentage of the Club.

The share issue is almost certainly a rights issue. That means existing shareholders have a right to buy more shares proportionate to what they already own.

No one in their right mind would do that because 80% of the money will go back to Moshiri in repaying the soft loan.

Well for a start that's more bullocks. It is converting 100 million in existing interest free loans into equity and two installments of 50 million cash have already been provided. So it is exactly equal.

If you have anything proving otherwise please produce it.

We are a private company with only one class of shares. This gives the board of directors certain privileges that allows them to circumvent pre-emption rights per the Companies Act 2006.

It's been known for a long time that Moshiri would be increasing his ownership after certain conditions of the new stadium have been met. No one knew if that would be by purchasing existing shares or the issuing of new shares.

I noted in the times rich list he has named his (two) mega-yachts after his mother. He can name BMD after her too so long as he provides the cash for the entire new squad Carlo needs as well as paying off the deadbeats.
