After conceding four against Mansfield, Ferguson decided to bring Sam Gibson back into the team alongside Alan O'Neill. Brett McGavin started in the middle. Barry Sargent would be hoping to have a better game this time against Fylde. Sargent was the man to play the ball into Harvey Ward on 5 minutes to put Swindon 1-0 up and pile on the misery for Fylde. Fylde tried to hit back but could not get beyond the Swindon defence and the movement in attack was lacklustre. Adrian Pirone beat his marker after he got the ball from Embid but the keeper saved the shot. Fylde were struggling to get shots on target and it was looking like a win for Swindon with minutes to go. Pirone got down the right with three minutes to play and crossed for Tyrone O'Neill at the byline but he hit the bar. Zwane got to the ball and played it forward to Harvey Ward who lofted it over Dube to make it 2-0 and win the three points for Swindon. Henderson had the bal on the left and found an opening playing it into the path of Tyrone O'Neill and he beat the keeper to claw one back on 89 minutes but it must be too late surely? Fylde failed to find another in stoppage time and its Swindon who take the three points.
DF: Credit to Swindon they sat back and hit us on the break far too easily. They defended very well and we couldn't break them down.

AFC Fylde vs Colchester United

Mark Morton will miss the rest of the season after breaking his foot in training however Fylde were boosted by the return of Vince Bytheway after his recovery from injury and they were in desperate need of a win with Colchester only three points behind in 4th place. The atmosphere died inside Mill Farm on 20 minutes when Jack Bedells was free in the box and put it away without a challenge from the defence. It wasn't going well for Fylde and Ferguson took off Feeney and brought on Josh Ferguson to support Tyrone O'Neill. Fylde were terrible and the fans showed their disappointment at the whistle. The shouts for Kevin Ward to leave were prominent and some were discussing the future of Duncan Ferguson with a minority saying it was time for Fylde to choose a different direction and that Ferguson's methods were no longer working in the modern game.

Duncan Ferguson was a visitor back at the Nat Lofthouse stadium with the clash against 12th place Bolton Wanderers. Both Jordan Wilson and Daniel Embid were serving suspensions so the midfield partnering of Josh Ferguson and Bret McGavin linked up. Jimy Dube made a fantastic save on 2 minutes as the shot looked like it was flying into the bottom corner. Andrew Hardcastle sent in a cross after Jones failed to get across and Ling headed past Dube to make it 1-0 to Bolton on the 30 minute mark. Fylde staring down the barrel again. It was looking like a difficult half-time team talk for Ferguson and the players just don't seem to be on the same page. It was a shocking second half performance from Fylde and with a minute to go, Thorndike scored from outside the box leaving Dupe routed to the spot. The away fans turned and were screaming for answers from Kevin Ward at the final whistle. Losing key players like Mick Wisdom and Neil Foster in the January transfer window was had a negative effect on the rest of the squad.
DF: I'm very disappointed in the performances and it's down to me as a manager to fix it. We are slipping down the table and we could easily be out of the play-off places very soon. We play the soon to be champions Preston next week and it's the game we have to turn up for and show everyone who we are.

Fylde have slipped into 4th and are now only 4 points from 7th which could see them drop out of the play-off places altogether. Fylde have won one match from the last ten and are the worst team for form in the league. Matters off the field have not helped with a lot of unrest from supporters who demand answers from the board as to why Mick Wisdom was let go and a replacement was not signed. Fylde have six matches to save their season.

We could see a team gain promotion to The Championship today and it will not be Fylde. The feeling of seeing a rival team achieve this feat at Mill Farm adds fuel to the fire on what has become a dampened season for The Coasters. They still have a chance of play-offs but their form needs to change imediately. Fylde were hit with more news this week that Euan Henderson could miss the rest of the season after pulling his hamstring in training. Although Henderson hasn't been playing well of late, he is still a big absence from this team. 24 minutes in, Bytheway played the ball forward and Tyrone O'Neill took it round the defenders and blasted against the keeper. The home fans buoyed and started to get behind their team. Fylde hit Preston on the counter attack on 56 minutes, Bytheway with it down the right played a great ball forward for O'Neill, he had Pirone over to the left and played him in, the keeper palmed away the shot but it was good football from Fylde. Fylde were held to a draw in a match they looked the better team and stop Preson from any early celebrations.
DF: Hopefully we stopped the run of losing with a draw against a very good team. We have 5 games to go and we need to get as many points as we can.

This season's Good Friday fixture is a home tie against Exeter who were fighting for survival in League One. Daniel Embid was the latest player to pick up an injury and had to miss out the match. Paterson took the free-kick for Exeter on 25 minutes and Dube pushed away the swerving shot, Forrest got there first and put the ball into the roof of the net, the away side took the lead. Fylde struggled to put two passes together and it was Exeter who could have been three up by half-time. Exeter looked dangerous from free-kicks and Paterson crossed into the box to find Ryan Burke who beat Dube to the ball to make it 2-0 to Exeter. Fylde had a go towards the end but there was no real desire from the team. The fans grew frustrated as the game went on and many fans were demanding Ferguson to go. Fylde dropped out of the play-off places tonight as there season went from bad to worse. After being tipped to win the title back in August, they now might not even get out of the division.
Duncan, some fans are demanding you leave the club. What do you have to say about that?
DF: I understand their frustration and all good things come to an end at some point. I took this club from the conference and got them as an established football league team. There are things that have happened at the club that I disagreed with and I have invested a lot of emotion into Fylde. They are a big part of me and sometimes you have to walk away and allow someone new to come in with fresh ideas. The best for this football club is my biggest interest.
