ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

A couple of general points.

1) Alisson could end up gettign Dudeked here this season. It's a continuum of mistakes now, awful against United in the cup, City, now today. Once you lose your nerve, as we've seen with City it's a long way back.

2) They are close to full on collapse. The last time I've seen them like this was at the back end of Rodgers final full season. Fortunately the season ended, almost saved by the bell and they laboured in the following season. The issue is, this year we are only just half way through. It's a long few months to get to that point. Very hard to see them going on any sort of prolonged run presently.

I saw Klopp last week, and he looked haunted. Forget him using the excuse of his mum, he just looks like a man who doesn't want to be there. He looked dishevilled and haunted. I'd be surprised if he's there at the end of the season.
The twin pillars of Liverpool's recent success: Christian Evangelism and a HT tonic of apple Juice laced with caffeine, sea salt and cherries (AKA as crack cocaine) seem to be of no further assistance to them.

How embarrassing that captain fantastic has to resort to screaming at vardy to put him off..
Not the first time that lot have tried it either,
Proper schoolyard sh**house tactics
Got everything they deserved there
should be a booking for unsporting/ungentlemanly conduct. Saying that, if you are resorting to those tactics, there are problems, Ha ha, sniff yer ma lurkers,

All moaning about VAR, they probably preferred the good old days when they shifted City in the CL because the offside low got abandoned and then they had a title challenge in 18/19 on the back of Salah’s offside goals.

VAR has been much better this season. It has merely stopped all the favourably decisions they've got. Unsurprisingly, once they get fair decisions they plummet. Surprise surprise.

VAR gifted them at least 12 points last season. They were not moaning then.

People forget the travesty of 17/18 and 18/19 though. When City were having legitimate goals chalked off left right and centre and Liverpool had the offside rule abandoned for them. Salah taking moving free kicks against Fulham, all the diving not once being checked. They lapped all of that up pre VAR, then they get VAR working in their favour last season giving them the calls they wanted but mysteriously going missing when Van Dijk lunged into DCL from behind when clean through on goal. Now they’re moaning because it’s started to give correct calls and not all of them are going in their favour. They’ve always benefitted from a massive points surplus each season through lenient refereeing ‘difficult to give a pen or red card at Anfield or Old Trafford’ etc. Whereas the teams around them barely get the same number of penalties in a season that Liverpool get in a month.

I seem to remember that Fifa took VAR over from IFAB to bring it into line with the continents refereeing system because the margin of error in the premier league with VAR last season was massively different to that of the Bundesliga Serie A and La Liga. I think Wenger may have been involved. It definitely seems to have improved this season.
