It’s a tough thing to do, to get a competent back up striker in the PL a lot of clubs struggle with it, King provide options for us for DCL & Richarlison, centre forward and inside forward.

Look. I rather we have a cheap backup striker than having none. If Carlo is ok with that then it’s good enough for me. We won’t be buying superstar in January.

Villa were awful when Gueye played for them and they went down to name just one instance where thinking like this doesn't really work.

We needed an experienced back up striker, we also needed some cover elsewhere going forward, not every signing (again, if he signs) can be a superstar.
