ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

He's 29. I think this is wishful thinking on your part unfortunately. He is the best CB on the planet who has been killed in a Merseyside derby there is no question of that and even if he comes back at 80% his best level his is still a top CB. He will be determined to play for the dutch at the euros so will probably cripple himself again.
Fixed your post mate

Watch both these centrebacks slot into that back line as if they’ve been there 5 years and are suddenly two of the best centrebacks in the premier league.

They'll both get their newly diagnosed asthma with special murder Inc branded inhalers, drink copious amounts of post-brexit delivered Herr shipmann sepzial brau, that has hit the squad the last two matches, and will both turn into prime baresi and maldini - nailed on.

Remember when we were being told when he was playing that Carragher was the best centre - half in the world, at the time he wasn't even the best in the prem, off the top of my head Vidic and Terry were both better than him.
I don't remember anyone saying that to be fair. Terry, Ferdinand, Vidic etc were light years ahead of him. Even King if he was fit was better.

What makes you think that?

Theyve been one of the best defensive teams in the league since Van Dijk got injured despite playing combinations of Nat Philips Rhys Williams and Jordan Henderson in defence. No one has scored more than one past them in the league since we did at Goodison. Of the few goals they have conceded there’s been penalties to Sheffield United, Brighton, Burnley and a few set pieces to Southampton and West Brom. That means barely any teams have scored from open play against them since the derby despite centreback partnerships that haven’t played together. They’ve also lost their best holding midfield in front of it and they play flying attacking full backs. It’s unnatural how it just hasn’t affected them at all. When City lost Laporte they started conceding all over the place. Liverpool have got better for losing Van Dijk Gomez and Matip.
