Vardy played 36 games that season. DCL would have to play a similar amount for us to do well. Titles won't be won by using back up players in our team.
Yes - I agree.

But would Ancelotti run him (and Richarlison) for 90+ minutes in each of those 36 games if he knew he had an option to keep you competitive at the top end of the pitch if those players came off? I am not sold on Josh King, but he might be a key type of player for maintaining the health of the squad in the attack to keep us competing until the end of the season.

Liverpool have run their main strikers into the ground for as long as I can remember and got away with it. :) But your right we won't...

I don’t understand why people keep saying “it’s okay if DCL is injured we have Richarlison“

Richarlison is best as a wide attacker with a good striker to work with. Him up front with somebody like Bernard or Iwobi out wide is nowhere near good enough.

We need depth on the bench for every position possible if we want to have any ambition of top 4.

Fully agree think it’s special thing to see when, Richarlison comes from out wide into the box at the extract right time to grab a goal.

To add to this..we now hopefully have a more free scoring team that can put some teams to bed within an hour or so and that is also where it is important to then sub and rest the likes of DCL, Richarlison and James especially.

As others have mentioned you need a couple of versatile players to guide us through the inevitable injuries.

king fits the bill and is a decent price.

west ham are in talks

Again without Europe they should be able to play once a week for the full 90 mins. If we are up a load of goals and want to rest players then there are options we can mess around with. If we want to change things up we will not get better than what we currently have as we won't be buying better or even similar.

King seems a good bet to me and I reckon he would be ahead of Iwobi and Bernard in the pecking order
in no time.

Its going to be a wait for Gordon to get a chance.
