I'd be really excited if this was 2014.

What's next, signing Aguero in 2028?
I am not sure what age you thi Rodriguez is but the correct answer is 29.

All signings are a risk and signing from abroad even more so but if he is signed then it is at an age where a player should be at the very peak of his career.
Not sure why you would use Aguero in your piece as he is already five years older than JR

If they amortise his age then offer him a new contract extension, he’ll be 25 by the end of it all.

Not that I disagree with your point, but Aguero is 32...

Age isn't really the issue.

The gripe is we're signing an injury prone player who hasn't hit top form in 4 years.

Owen wasn't old when he was 27 but his best day's were clearly behind him. James feels the same though obviously he's still at a good level he definitely isn't in his prime despite "only" being 29.

I think i read hes been involved in a goal every 102 minutes over the last 4 or 5 years.

So I'm looking forward to him finding form.....
