ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

We missed 3 sitters. They scored 1 worldy.

Deffo in the "one of those" imo.
I'd agree.

If it hadn't been 10 years since we last beat them.

It was embarrassing , especially given we had our first team on the pitch. The same team bar one or two got outplayed by villa in the semi finals .

And got beat 5-2 only a few weeks before. How many one of them do you give until you just don't expect anything other than a loss in that fixture lol

We didnt, correct. Was a really odd 2nd half performance. Hence, "one of them".

We missed more than 3 sitters as well. Could have had 5 or 6 that first half. Seemed to be in 2nd gear most of the first half as well. Most disappointing derby defeat for me. Had we taken our chances and been 3 or 4 up at half time it could have been double figures. I'll never forgive some of them for that.

Its slowly dawning on them that they have mingebags for owners who won't spend a penny of their own money on the club. Its hilarious to watch, they are either hysterical about not spending anything or they stick their heads in the sand and just go on about the trophies they have won.

They dont realise that their team will grow old and then get humiliated one day either in the league or Europe then there will be a massive inquest into what happened and by then it will be too late. At least all the top reds can shout "6 times lad" every time someone pipes up.

It's going to be hilarious over there in a season or two. At least the air pollution will stop when they revert back to mid table because there wont be any flights from Oslo. Salah and Mane will lose their pace but Real Madrid or Barca won't buy them, Van Dijk will slow down and get caught out for pace like Mats Hummels, the goalie will leave for a bigger club and all the young lads they have about will just be as.good as Jay Spearing or Jon Flanagan.

Meanwhile we will have a new stadium and the backing of two billionaires. Just wait a season or two and we will be better than them. We will just have to ride this year out and grit our teeth but their brief flirtation with success will be over soon.

FSG were coming under pressure for not spending enough before the arrival of Klopp. They made a great decision with him and he’s saved their bacon, by moving the team on without massive backing.

The reality of FSG and the fact they got the club for buttons from the de facto administrators, have put nothing on the balance sheet and have merely run that club using its own cash, will finally dawn on them.

My only fear is that they get sold eventually to someone with serious money. At the moment they are just being treated like a flat on homes under the hammer that's been tarted up on the bare minimum by a really good builder that was hired on the cheap.

Their fans seem to think they should spend 100m every transfer window and they are all losing the plot on Twitter about it. Some still think they are saving up for Mbappe!

The thing is, they've got themselves into an enormous mess, paying out big and long term contracts for players there will no longer be a market to sell.

As you say, if they start having to sell, Klopp as anyone would, would protect his reputation and move on. Bayern are a much bigger clubs than Liverpool, imagine what he could do there? The domino's are starting to tumble.
I do hope so

This. We always find a way to lose against the RS. Sly late winners, dodgy late penalities, 4-0 hammerings. Here was an opportunity to not just beat them, but give them a good spanking on their own ground. We should have done what Villa had done in the EFL. Their kids aren't anything special. I seriously doubt any of them will tear up the EPL.
The only thing I've heard about Curtis Jones since this game is his fish-mouthed sister beating up some teenagers.
