ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

short memories of fans given it was only a couple of years ago they spent more in 12 mo the than anyone in the history of football ever has and broke the world record in two positions whilst adding over 100 million pounds worth of midfielders on top of that.

They did exactly the same with Benitez. The owners funded him for 120 odd players then when they had one transfer window without signing anyone Jim Royle said it was like someone raping his sister. Absolute looney tunes.

And someone is telling me they are not skint? Massively exposed, and given the quite low basics they pay their players, they will look to move on if 30%+ pay cuts are advised. It may well even invalidate a contract and allow them to walk away for nothing. If you were the likes of VVD you would consider it.

I'm pretty sure that it's written in all premier league players contracts that they can't have their wages cut for no reason but they could have it in their contracts that they get a lesser wage if they qualify for Europe or get relegated?
Not much chance of the first option happening for a good few years and next to no chance of the latter.

We didn’t create a single chance in the entire second half though.

We were appalling but it could be argued they never created a single chance all game.

The goal was a great goal out of nothing but 99% of the time that doesn’t go in. It was just one of those days.

Yes. I am just going off what they did with their baseball team. I imagine if clubs agree wage cuts theoretically players could break the contract and leave for free.
