I give up...

The performance wasn't great, then again Saha wasn't in and he's the only member of the side that Chelsea fears. However we deserve some luck, we've played the top sides too well this year without (sans City) a win to show for it.

Would take 12th and a FA cup victory in a heartbeat over finishing 6th.

I recorded this game, since I was up late last night..
Woke up, turned it on right away, had no idea the result..
Me being the idiot I am, I forgot to set the record details for an additional hour, **** I thought after 90 minutes!!!

Missed extra time and the shootout!! Signed on to the PC, with fingers crossed to check Soccernet, and BOOM we ****ing WON!!!!!!

Mate same here! As a soon as I got up I realized if this went to extra time I was screwed. When Felli scored I let out an almighty roar only to be disappoined and realize I would miss the end. Got the replay dvr'd though so i can watch the drama.

We needed this and I needed this personally. Thank you Everton.

I wish you two could of seen it. I thought it was all over. I was sulking and depressed on my couch, then we got a free kick in perfect Baines territory. Baines stepped up and BAM it was in. Que me running around my basement in excited rage. It was amazing.

I'm really pissed at myself. Rookie mistake. I'll never get that moment back. Absolutely over the moon with the win though.

"I gave up. You did too. We were out of it and gone. Miracle!" Those were the words of one Larry Munson. He was the play-by-play announcer for the University of Georgia Bulldogs. Let me tell you, he was good at it. In 1980, Georgia was down to their bitter rival, Florida, late in the fourth quarter and playing from their own end. It was 3rd Down and the Bulldogs scored on an improbable play to take the lead and the win. Later on that year, Georgia won its only National Title in my lifetime. I was two years old when that happened. Always wanted a moment like that for a team I loved. I have come close, but today was just "IT". Here is the audio from that magic day in Florida, but the quote I refer to comes at the end, and the emotion then is finally what I have now. Thank you Everton.

I know that it is an obscure reference, and one that most here could not identify with, but what the hell. I love Georgia College Football, have my whole life. But what I feel for Everton, and the roller coaster ride it has been for the last year, is something totally different. I scared the crap out of my five year old, who is a Chelsea fan, when I thought Felli scored. So, I had too keep it reasonably calm the rest of the match. Almost impossible to do. Had to swing down to the local pub to pick up pizza's for my youngest boys birthday party after the match. I strutted in wearing my Baines 3rd kit, and had a celebratory pint or two while waiting on my food. Even my neighbors in the pub watching the Bundesliga took time out to gush about our victory. What a day. Still wicked stoked this morning. Hope your spirits got a much needed lift JDawg. Hope things are looking up for ya.

Saturday lunchtime is about the WORST time for me as I run a village side. Managed to listen to the first half on the radio on the way there, then one of my subs dug his iphone out so I could listen to the shoot out from the sidelines.

Excellent result at Stamford, however we lost 5-1 and I broke my ankle as the final whistle went following a brief cameo appearance. It's not all positive folks :(

You took one for the team. Everton won.

Positives mate. Positives.

Thanks Matt. Wished I could have been there with you guys. Like I posted earlier, 6,000 Evertonians can cancel out 35,000 Chelski beauts. I had the shakes and a weak stomach for hours after the match. The Adrenaline was flowing. I am booking my airline tickets for the Fulham match as we speak. I was originally coming up for Villa, but my work schedule cancelled it out. I may wet my freaking pants when I hear Z Cars in Goodison for the first time.
