well contracts end on the 30/06 you’re suggesting everyone whose is over will collectively stay , 100 percent take up ? Not a chance

If it's backed by legislation, they may have no choice.

Furthermore, how many players does this apply to? There are very few key 1st team players with over 20 league appearances who's contract is expiring at that time.

Worst case scenario, they leave and the clubs are without a player for the final 3 or 4 games that they were going to lose anyway.

70 premier league players out of contract this summer if I remember rightly

Squads will lose a few key bodies that would help them in a shortened schedule to finish the league

But, clearly, the FA and PL don’t clear about their players. Hopefully the PFA state that they won’t be bringing the 28 day emergency extension rule into place

What happens with the transfer window too? Imagine if we signed Gabriel and then he scored a last minute bullet header to relegate Bournemouth on the last day of the season. FAIREST THING TO DO LADS.

All they are doing is simply causing more chaos to add to the confusion already, season wont end when the games are completed if/when that could ever be when we dont even know when it could restart, because you then need the teams who get euro places to then have the qualifiers were needed, plus the play offs for the championship etc, plus extending this season messing up the start of the next one, plus squashing next season in before the euros start-so much of a mess-never ending when it could have been simply-who will be the 1st boss to moan about playing to many games i can probably guess

what legislation? You want central government to over rule lawful contracts so your beloved RS can win their title . Give your head a wobble.

Oh they were going to lose anyway so that’s ok isn’t it . Like watford at home to you or palace winning at city . You’re pathetic honestly. It’s like the black knight in monty python , like I say you can have it as it’s more important than life and death . Dignity my arse

What happens to the FA Cup? Promotion relegation? The Champions League and Europa League?

How do we finish our season? Play two games a week for 6 weeks or whatever it is or play on a week by week basis pushing into September October?

There are far too many questions with not enough answer when it comes to finishing this season. Best thing to do is to cancel it and use the time they’ve set aside to finish games in order to answer all the prudent questions

Just for clarity.

Fraser, Willian, Vertonghen, Pedro, Giroud, Silva, Hendrick, Lundstram and Westwood are the only first team regulars out of contract this summer.

It affects six teams. And it only affects them if those players point blank refuse to stay for what will probably be the remaining 3 or 4 games of the season.

I would say its crazy how happy Liverpool fans are, going on most teams twitter pages giving abuse, but i am not surprised at all,and i never am.

Exactly. If the FA Cup is cancelled does that mean that it only goes down to 6th for a Europa League spot? But then City, United and Chelsea are still in the FA Cup, would the team finishing in 7th have a right to challenge that legally?

Also Wolves are still in the Europa League and winning it would qualify them for the Champions League, so what happens there?

It's far too complex to say completing the domestic leagues is the be all and end all.

Ryan Fraser could be key to Bournemouth's survival. He's almost certainly going to walk away when his contract expires, so how is that fair on them? They've lost a key player who they should've had for the remaining 9 games.

Everything will literally stay the same. The FA Cup, EL and CL continues. Promotion and relegation stays as it always was.

It's just shuffled a bit further along the calendar than you'd ordinarily be used to.

But you're probably right, that does sound a lot more complex and weird compared to voiding a league, only promoting 2 teams from the Championship, running a 22 team league next year, relegating 5 teams in 20/21 etc.....

Certainly the obvious choice. lol

Since you have all the answers, when do you think we'll be back again? And when will next season start?

Hopefully, and I don’t mean this from a I don’t want them to be champions stance, someone from Europe sets the precedent and cancels

The cowardly FA would fall in line then

Is it fairer to just relegate them based on 29 games?

Or is it fairer that they get another bite of the cherry (wahey!) at a new league next season and a team in 3rd in the Championship doesn't get a go?

Interesting take on the word 'fair'.

Let them win the league. regardless now its the biggest anti climax ever for them. Arranging parties for the Goodison game and palace game. Pubs doing victory parade parties in May. Have your title, but lets be honest, its hardly going to be enjoyable for them and a total come down.
I'm worried about the state of the country, what's to come and when normality, if ever will resume. If they desire the trophy so much, give it to them now
