It's not at all. Its much easier to just declare seasons that cant be completed void. Fairly standard procedure and in line with WW2 and what happened. To start allowing teams to change their squads, explicitly against the rules will not work.

That didnt happen in WW2 tho did it?

We won the title and then the next season they started the wartime leagues?

A lot of us saying just void this season (hopefully) and start afresh the next one, and I have said that myself. But now I am really not sure everything will be back to normal even for next season.
To me that is the worry
This could drag on for months
How do new signings do medicals
How do they travel over for pre season
People seem to think this is a blip.
this is serious stuff
Look at Italy
Trump calling a state of emergency
Watch the stock markets tumble monday morning
Lads sh1t just got real and football is way down th list of priorities

Will sky refund money to all who subscribe to their sports channels when there is nothing new on ?

Exactly. The domino effect. If Sky can't supply what they bought, why should they pay for it? The contract with the EPL has no get out clause on the part of the EPL. Under the terms of the contract they HAVE to provide Sky access to the games,or the contract is null and void. So Sky are entitled to their money back, but the EPL has already distributed it to the clubs. I'm a Sky World Sky Q customer...I'm going to read my contract very very carefully.

The season can be completed, though. This pandemic will not continue forever. There will be a time, not a million miles away, where business returns to normal. At that point, the season can continue.

The authorities may have a deadline where they will declare the current season void, if they are unable to resume normally by that point. Then again, they may not have a deadline whatsoever.

We will simply have to wait and see how it pans out. But for me, there is zero chance of this season being voided. Far too much risk for the Premier League in doing so, far too much paperwork, lawsuits and any decision would probably need the support of Premier League clubs and most would not vote in favour of ending a season prematurely, unless there was some sort of safety concern.

It's not in Sky's long term interest to play too much hardball with the League, so I reckon there'd be some sort of compromise whereby Sky agrees to pay a pro-rata amount to the League based on the number of games played.

The prize money would also be pro-rata and paid out based on the current league position, with some tweaking for the clubs who've played less than 29 games.

Any domino effect to customers could then fall out of that, though, to be honest, there are more important things to worry about at the moment.

Joking apart, he is a very good manager, and he makes a lot of good points quite often. His persona may be quite spikey, but I wonder if that is overplayed in the media and he also acts up to it.

He's an extreme left wing socialist gaining a bit of political capital. I've never voted Tory in my life, but thought Boris was excellent last night.,

You’re kidding yourself on mate. This is going to go on for months. We will be quarantined in a couple of weeks, wait and see.
