It's a positive tick in the box of Ferguson being given longer in the job for that reason.

Very strong management and a very clear signal.

He’s done more as a manager in 2 games than all our managers over the last 5 years.

Would recommend people watch his time on the pitch again -- looked leggy, wasn't doing any defensive work and was behind the play going forward. Not sure what there is to defend to be honest.

Absolutely this.

JJ, I’d usually agree, but he’s a 19-year-old whose been asked to adapt to a whole new culture and been given zero chance to play.

We only see 90 minutes though, have to trust the staff who work week in, week out with them.

When he has had a chance on the pitch, he's looked pretty bad. Always think to the cup game vs Watford.

If you’re asked to go out there and do a job and you intentionally ignore the managers instructions and stroll around the pitch then odds are you’re gonna be dragged off.

I didn’t really play close attention to him when he came on but a lot of people were commenting that he was strolling and looked gassed.

Definitely think Dunc is using his poker face when being questioned by the media on the incident. He’s doing the lad a favour by not publicly criticising him. Although many would say being hauled off 10 mins after coming on is shameful enough....

Duncan thought it was necessary to get the point, he wants to defend from the front and we weren't getting that with Kean, we are desperate for the points.

Feel for Kean though as it is embarrassing for the kid, hopefully Duncan can explain that to him and he doesn't want out.

Just not getting the he didn't do anything when he came on

Making out that he just stood in the middle hand on hips not arsed when he was running up and down and even throwing some tackles in.

Not saying He was anything other than ok but the bigger picture it he's a young lad coming to a new league and had a torrid time so far and his confidence is already shattered and then that happens. Just not having that's fair at all,.if dunc felt like he wasn't doing what he was asked then you pull him over and try and explain it to him just ragging him off like that was awful

I don’t care about his confidence I want results.

It’s impossible to say really, without knowing the proper reason it happened. If he genuinely wanted to waste time it was a really, really bad decision. If he wasn’t following instructions or pulling his weight it’s the right thing to do. It’s senior football, you have to be treated as an adult in that environment.

At the end of the day you can say he’s one of the worlds top talents as much as you want, but the opposition just sent a young striker on who won them a point (again), we sent ours on and his biggest contribution was an awful touch followed by a stupid foul. He’s got to actually produce something to justify this reputation he has, so far we’ve seen absolutely nothing.

Absolutely not.

he's said the change was to kill time. that's fine, but there were other players to take off. Not a 19-yr-old lad struggling to find his feet.

I think the kill time line was there to avoid having to discuss Keane's performance in a negative light.

I voted no, but it was close. I guarantee you he got pulled primarily because he was so weak challenging for headers. He did, in some ways, deserve to get pulled, but ultimately the decision will be damaging long term.

Calvert Lewin was knackered would have made more sense to take him off than hurting kean's confidence, he tried when he came on.
