Pienaar Signs for Spurs...

He's played in 18 PL games this season, out of a possible 54 points we've gotten 16.

So for the other 4 games when he hasn't played, we've gotten 10 out of 12.

Make of that what you will, I know in several of those games the entire squad has been entirely usless but I'd say it's pretty interesting, and on current form, possibly relieving.

If we're gonna brag on a players previous form, we might aswell get Andy Johnson back 'cause he was boss for about 15 games too.

That post makes the world of sense.

For the 31st time - "one good season".

Lets hope DM gets the full £3 million to spend atleast

And i dont get why people are saying they cant understand going to Spurs, there on the up and up have a very talented squad which they will keep adding too have CL football and are paying him what he wants in wages

It probably won't be too long before Spurs overtake Chelsea as a force anyway. I do think he'll see about as much action at the Lane as Krancjar has done though.

I think "one good season" is a bit harsh mate... I agree he is hardly unmissable and that his actual end product is pretty lacking but I personally thought that he was great not just last year but also the 08-09 season when we got to the Cup final, especially the second half of that year when Arteta was crocked; he really stepped up and showed his worth.

Here's what I dont get - why has the mood changed from the universal opinion of a week ago that Pienaar has served us well and should be allowed to move on because he's honoured his contract?

Moyes told everyone last night that Pienaar said his focus was not on the game - unsurprising seeing as Everton had wanted him to speak to two clubs in the run up to the Derby to get some coin in - and he'd been there before with players and so he let the matter go.

When are we going to stop reaching for the Judas word and blaming players for leaving when we all know where the real problem lies and why they're being propelled out the door?

Last season was about it for me. 08/09 there were quite a few better players in our squad and his end product was dreadful.

But I've been into this a few times and CBA doing so again!!

Simply put, it's because he bottled out of the derby. I really wouldn't have cared if he joined Liverpool, either for money now or by honouring his contract. But what he did Sunday was completely unforgivable.

He literally blew away his status as one of our better and well liked players of the last decade in one day. Now he'll just be remembered as a giant fart who screwed us over to make sure he got his last payday.

I just explained the circumstances of that. Did you read the post?

*sigh*

He had every intention of leaving us last summer but that was scuppered when he had a crap world cup, subsequently not one single bid was submitted. He is also intent on denying the club a transfer fee in order to line his own pockets, the same club that salvaged his dwindling career at Dortmund. He is ( allegedly) pricing himself out of a move to Chelsea by demanding huge wages that he and his agent know full well that Chelsea won't pay, all in order to line his own pockets with the extra few grand.

His wages should be docked for his decision not to make himself available yesterday, but that won't happen because DM will probably be wary of upsetting him and that it will only reaffirm his intentions of snubbing Chelsea.Yes he has given us 100%, but that's what he's paid to do.

So I do not feel the need to be " Careful" Everton are his employer and we have every right to cash in on our comodity. So what I want is for him to repay the the faith shown in him and all that we've done for him. I don't hate him and won't boo him on his return to Goodison, he's just another mercenary who makes this game the rancid business it has evolved into.

Top post mate! To summerise massive snide!

Why is Pienaar being painted as the bad guy?

Hes served us well, got a nice wage, put in mostly a great shift.

Thanks for your efforts Mr Pienaar Sir, we will miss you.
