We are in about the same position,later today we'll be able to judge if we are a lost cause.Moyes as you say had a poor win record but he managed to scrap 10 points from draws which made the difference for them.

Ha ha 10points from draws classic moyes.

Interesting point I read today, I think silva definitely will not be our manger at the start of next season, but he has moulded this team over 18months to press and win the ball high up the pitch. I think we are one of the better teams in the league at doing that. But a mixture of missing sisters in a few games. Not doing enough when we have been dominant IE Villa, Bournemouth. Even Burnley, and Brighton to a lesser extent. Conceding silly goals from set pieces. A keeper that’s hardly made a safe of note all season, every shot on target seems to end up in the next.

Injuries and obviously poor VAR decisions over the last few weeks.

Going back to my original point. Getting a moyes or Hughes we overnight became a defensive team, sitting back 10 behind the ball. Will that realty benefit this current group of players

Think the biggest thing for us is we do not have a good striker. Been the better side in all our away games but don't have a striker to turn that dominance into goals

On the other side he virtually relegated QPR and left Southampton in a mess...

Mourinho took United from 2nd to their lowest finish in decades. Klopp left Dortmund in a mess. Emery had one of the best reputations in Europe prior to Arsenal. Rodgers left Liverpool in a mess. These are all still top coaches.

Now i’m not saying Hughes is in their bracket but if it can happen to the very best of them, then it can happen to any coach. For a manager to be a success at any club, lots of things need to fall into place and for many reasons it just doesn’t work out.

Hughes has fight and has a good record of a coach in this league. I wouldn’t have a huge problem appointing him till the end of the season.

The sad thing is, if he was called Marco Van Hooz and had worked in the Bundesliga or Eredivisie, blues would be far more accepting of him - perhaps even excited!

I don't think anyone would argue with that but we have to start winning and now we have to do that without our best midfielder. Time for Silva to bring out that team talk that he was saving for a cup final.

It's fair to say Everton had lost out on 5 points due to dodgy VAR decisions.

Still, I don't think Everton has been comprehensively outplayed this season. There's considerable upsides for Everton to grow better.

I think Dominic King, usually get info from the club, I'm just hoping it's put out there to focus minds that we arnt replacing what we've got with anyone better in November, we just need to get to the summer and probably start again when we've got more choice and time
