Kenny Miller, now before you all laugh, the lad is on fire right now, his contract runs out at the end of season and he could fit into our present system perfectly.
And on top of all that he has the run for 90 minutes never say die attitude we all love and crave from our lads.

This would be as awe inspiring and successful as us sensationally signing John Spencer all them years ago.

The Scots can't play football any more mate, it's best swerving them.

With Moyes record on strikers whats the bet he will find a 3 legged donkey for an exorbitant fee because every club now knows we are desperate. Moyes should let go Saha, Yakubu and Vaughan rather than anyone else.

Also a friend mentioned he had heard Fellaini was unsettled and fancied going to Germany, anyone else hear anything like that?

Lewis Holtby - being in Germany his fee will not be inflated. Financed by the sale of Piennar and Anichebe (Vic could be thrown in as part-exchange).
Holtby will work on the left wing and will provide space and crosses for Beckford/Vaughan - who should be the ones that we turn to.

Moyes says: "We have played open football all season and we have played good football all season. "We were playing against a team that was open in Tottenham. But when we come up against teams that play compact and we have to create chances, that is when it has been more difficult. When teams decide to shut up shop and defend deep, we have not had the craft to really break teams down. Sometimes you need to just throw the ball into the box and in the past we have done that, but right now we don’t have the players for that."

Sounds like we'll be moving for an orthodox big target man if we do bring a forward in this January. Carew's planned loan deal to WBA has hit the buffers, a move for him until the end of the season would be a decent move.

Have mentioned him a few times on here and prob would be my number one choice given our system and how he would be suited to us, i think any move has been put on ice given Heskey red card during the week.

Maybe so. Wages could be another factor.

Yeah, Nieler is right, any loan for Carew has been put on hold 'cos of Heskey's red card. Shame, might have stopped him scoring against us! Think he could do a job for us too. He can be unplayable at times. Getting on a bit these days though, isn't he?

Santa Cruz would be another good one, but City would no doubt want it to be a loan with a view to a permanent move. At 29, Moyes wont want to get stung on that.

I think we need to give Beckford more of a shout - like my mate told me, he's no Samuel Eto'o, but at least he looks bothered up front. When we signed him, i was very underwhelmed, didnt think he would cut it in the premier league, and too an extent i've been proven right with his lack of goals - but when he has come on, hes looked lively, he's been in the right place to score ust hasnt done it. But i think with a run of games, and abit of support up top he might be our best bet, because once again it doesnt look like we are going to be spending in January and we are going to have to work with what we have - id like to see Cahill and Beckford up front, Cahill winning the headers and knocking them down for Beckford.

Im not saying we are going to fly back up the table and get into the Champions League with this, but i think its the best bet we have until the summer where Moyes will have to remove the deadwood at this club and try to freshen things up ie. the likes of Saha, Bily, Heitinga, Hibbert, Yakubu, Saha and Osman should be moved on to free up a few funds to sign some new players because i think thats been our problem this season - the team has gone stale, teams know what to expect from us and set themselves up accordingly!
