Yeah, I figured as much. Had a work colleague text me the other day and I replied "sound"...

reply="???"

happens all too often...then I have to explain it, which is interesting.

Thing been Irish I know all sorts of American dialects from media (and frequent trips). from south to high north to a texan, Boston, loiusiana etc etc. and likewise with all the English dialects. But when I speak or text in my normal speak slightly I'm completely misunderstood. When I say Ireland to any American they think I'm saying New Orleans. EVERYTIME

My text speak can get off-the-charts scouse/UK English and I don't even realise (<-- caught myself, perfect example...American is realize but I'll spell it either way at random) it at times. The thing is that 90% of my online/electronic interaction time is Everton/UK based and it's the most time I spend at something where I'm actually typing, so it's all gone tits up in that regard. It doesn't happen when I'm talking to people fact-to-face, it's all based around typing...I've given up questioning it; it just IS. I'm sure there are more underlying reasons for it, if you want to get all Freudian with it, but it's not hurting anyone so MEH!

haha its the only way to get an easy ride on the forum. You gotta go full scouse. but I like to throw my own eccentric foreign flavour in here and there. ... Why what when and how everton anyway?

Sega Master System wasn't it? Or was that called something else?

Well, there was the Genesis and then they had some sort of CD-Based add-on that I never got...Sega CD. Then they had the Sega Saturn, which I never had...think I had moved to the original PlayStation by then. Looking it up, the Master System was the console before the Genesis. Didn't have that one either. Only Sega systems I had at some point were the Genesis and the Dreamcast.

Dreamcast rocked

Master System was ace. Had a Mega Drive then a Nintendo 64 - then Xbox before Playstation 2 or 3 I think. We used to hire a Dreamcast and play Daytona all the time.

Heh, I gave my original XBox to an uncle ages ago for something to entertain my young cousin at the time...whenever I go over to their house, there it is under the TV. It probably hasn't been turned on it 10 years as they're not the type and my cousin's off in college. That thing was a tank compared to the new stuff...even the original PlayStation was slim compared to that thing.

Hahaha my best memory of it was Buffy the Vampire Slayer. That was a sensational game.
