I watched Spurs v Aston Villa yesterday too. Mark my words...we will struggle to beat Villa never mind Spurs.

They did well against a below-par Spurs (until Eriksen came on) and were more organised than I expected. But a lot of teams will struggle to beat a team who play 11 behind the ball and have very little ambition to go and score. There have been countless teams over the years who have done that, not least Everton in the early Moyes years! I'll be interested to see Villa a) at home and b) when they've gone behind in games.

Its last year the RS came 2nd. Its 2 years ago Chelsea won the title. Spurs will be 2nd to city this year, I think.

Away from the result, has anyone got a coherent argument as to why the palace player who studded bernard (?) in the thigh didn't get carded? VAR ed it and play on but to me it looked a nasty challenge. Its on the sky sports 2 minutes highlights they put out on twitter.

For my sins, I had to sit in the Palace end today and right next to those dins with the drums and flags.

I can safely say their fans are clueless and I hated sitting amongst them for 90 minutes, oh and their stadium is a toilet.
