We were 6th going into the liverpool game weren't we?
Doesn’t take away some of the atrocious performances before that game. Also, the table was very packed with only about 6 points separating 6th from 16th.

As I listed above, Southampton, West Ham, Huddersfield, Bournemouth, etc were terrible performances.

Not sure why the players are messing about on a raft, while Marcel is having a holiday in Switzerland.

What's wrong with a pint for team building back in L4, while our director buys players?? Or is that old fashioned.

No it doesn't take away some of the bad performances but we cannot take away some of the bad performances we have had every season since we were formed. It happens but the fact is we were 6th so it discounts your September theory.

It doesn’t, as them results happened in September. Silva himself has said he wants a squad together by the end of July so he has time to work with them. Are you suggesting it doesn’t matter when players come in?

Once again, desperate to take negatives instead of positives.
Why are you never positive? Why is it always bad stuff you focus on? Literally ignore good games and good rumours and focus on poor games and bad rumours.
Such a bizarre mentality

What deals, wheres our striker? I'm getting really stressed now

When did we go out of the cup to Southampton?
When did Bournemouth get a draw despite us being two goals ahead?
When did Huddersfield get a draw at Goodison?
When did West Ham come and smash us at Goodison?

No agenda, just cold, hard, facts.

2nd October, we smashed Fulham before and beat Leicester and Palace after
3rd game of the season
4th game of the season
5th game of the season and our first defeat of the season, week after we played Arsenal off the park and were done over by an offside goal then had the run of wins in and around the Southampton game above before we gave United the run around and again were done over by a dodgy decision

After that we picked up 7 points from 3 games against Brighton, Chelsea and Cardiff before the derby which sparked the downfall

Pity they didn’t come from the Daily Star or Simon Jones from the mail but when Jason Burt from the Telegraph and Phil Kirkbride say we’re definitely interested then that’s pretty conclusive that we’ve at the least enquired and hold an interest.

Doesn’t mean he’ll end up here though he could just be one of several we’ve enquired about and we’re just keeping our options open, we could change our minds and go in a different direction or either the player or Juventus don’t want the deal.

On Kirkbrides comments that Silva wants experience up top, I just wonder if they see DCL as the young talent to develop, and want to bring in an older striker as the experience rather than go for a Kean/Leao and end up with two youthful front men
Can you please extract yourself from Phil Kirkbride’s arse?

Every other post you bang on about him like he was some kind of messiah.

He may have some insight, he may not. Who knows at this stage.

We really didn’t.
We did start comparatively well unless you expected us to start playing like City from the outset.
Two early season draws were achieved despite being reduced to 10 men. You could see progression from the dour football of the previous season.
Realistically it was always going to take time to radically alter the tactical style from the previous season and introduce new players.
Patience was always going to be required , as was proved by the impressive run of results at the end, from the RS game at home onwards.
