James McCarthy

Before his leg break McCarthy was playing very well, basically playing further than usual up the field in order to do Lukaku's pressing for him!

Lots of polar opposite opinions about McCarthy. For that reason alone, I would keep him. If he really is only worth a few million £ then we have everything to gain and relatively little to lose by giving him a chance.

Im a big fan of his talent myself, hes very limited, but hes very, very good at what he does, for me his talent has never been the issue.

Yes hes been very unlucky with the leg break, but sadly hes not somebody we can rely on.

Too injury prone...i liked him but playing for Ireland when he was coming off yet another injury did it for me.

I think hes getting a few mins simply to show teams hes fit and available.

His nickname 'sick note' actually stems from his school days, where he was adept at forging parents' signatures in order to excuse unenthusiastic pupils from PE lessons.

Not in the humour going back from when this was bumped. How much we get for him?

He desperately needs a move to restart his career, if only for Ireland's sake. We've nothing in midfield at the moment.

Feel.sorry for him, he played many times through injury and pain killing injections under Martinez to the detriment of his own body. Sadly paid the penalty for that.

He's too good for The SPL so would be pointless going there for sectarian abuse every 2nd week.
