I thought we'd at least do better than last season.I thought we’d win the lot to be honest.
I really, really do not want us to be caught in a situation again like we were in after Sacking Koeman in October last season.
It's the stuff of my nightmaresThat would be my bet at this time.
It's the stuff of my nightmares
I expect it because BFS got 8th with a worse squad and I expect slight improvement not regression (results).
we could literally be back in for Allardyce this November if we keep silva..I really, really do not want us to be caught in a situation again like we were in after Sacking Koeman in October last season.
and lAST season should NOT be any benchmark for a manager, as we were terribleI thought we'd at least do better than last season.

Goats squad analysis thread 2018/19
Yay, I fixed it, no more questions why some players are in bold! Patting yourself on the back for doing something a 10 yr old could do , get a grip I couldn’t do it but any 10 yr old could lolwww.grandoldteam.com
Was just looking back at this post.
"So in my humble opinion, no area of the squad was weakened, we improved our LBs, our CBs and our Widers, we lost nobody in the window we wished to retain and we gave ourselves a squad able to compete. All in all a very pleasing window for me, improvements made, trash taken out and a vast improvement on windows previously. "
That was the reason I expected 7th, I felt the squad was good enough to grab that position, not cos Sam got 8th really.
I did say in other threads elsewhere that I was impressed with Wolves, West Ham and *cough* Fulhams business, 1 out 3 aint bad right.
I mean I expected 7th, but it wasnt a target he had to reach or I wanted him sacked, im still 50/50 personally on that score.
Of course 11th isnt what I expected.
This is why I can't get on board with the "give him next season" group.I hadn’t even thought of it until you posted it. But it’s got that feel hasn’t it?
Crap start to next season. Marco booted by half term and some crapper coming in to try and sort it.
Rinse and repeat.
Nope, sorry but I'm not having him escaping any responsibility for this season for whoever was here before him.
Sod that.
He spent money and got some of his own players in.
We have seen no return on that investment and no progress.
If we could achieve what we did last year before that investment and not improve on that after spending money and bringing in half a starting 11 then that's all that needs to be said.
Just like Allardyce and Koeman a second year has to be earned based on the performance in the first and on that basis it's a taxi for Marco.
The minimum expectation has to be improvement on the year before. Anything else is us regressing closer and closer to doing a Villa.
