YEOVIL TOWN LADIES 1 EVERTON LADIES 0
In a game Between the bottom 2 WSL teams where Everton were looking for there 1st league win of the season, surely it was going to come today more than any other day possible,as the team they were playing Yeovil Ladies had in 2 days time not won any game any comp for 2 years losing 38,drawing 3 of the last 41 games,
Anyway on to the game and Chloe kelly had the 1st chance off the game on 3mins when her shot was easy for the yeovil keeper Walsh,Yeovil then had a half chance on 4 before on 6mins Danielle Turner broke the offside trap and shot right at the keeper, Boye-Hlorkah was the next player for Everton to see her shot saved from close range,on 18 Ellie Mason connected well with a header, only to see her effort skid wide for Yeovil.
But on 21mins Yeovil took the lead when Everton cleared a free-kick and Short shot from distance. Her looping effort was too hot for keeper Kirstie Levell to handle and the ball creep into the net,bit of an error maybe,Everton continued to have chances with Kelly,Boye-Hlorkah twice and Kaagman going close, but it was 1-0 Yeovil HT
The 2nd half began again with Everton having chances and taking none of them, before Horwood and Heatherson then had shots for Yeovil saved by Everton Keeper Levell, before Everton's Kaagman free kick was saved well, Bryson then shot over for Everton on 76mins,before on 78mins a Brilliant double save from Walsh, The first was a flying stop from cain and the second a brave point-blank block on the rebound from Boye-Hlorkah,on 86 sub Claudia Walker fired at Walsh who stands tall to save's again, the game ended 1-0 and The Attendance at The Clayson Stadium was 732 to witness Yeovil's 1st win in 2 years and send Everton Ladies bottom, infact 2 of the last 4 wins for Yeovil over 45 games have been 1-0 v Everton
And it wont get much easier as the next game is the leaders Arsenal Women who have 7 wins from 7 in 2 weeks time
