Sylvain Distin vs you Beauts

Phil Neville and Leon Osman have been awful well before Distin arrived at the club, but we accept it and also accept Moyes is loyal to his teachers pets and will pick them no matter what.
Distin was brought in to fill Lescotts boots, a difficult task which he as failed to do.
We havent replaced Lescott, thats certain.

I disagree.

The Lescott thing was more to do with Jags being injured. Jags is the irreplaceable one, not Joleon.

He made so many mistakes it was untrue, but his pace usually got him out of it. There is a reason he looks ordinary for city, and thats, that he IS ordinary. Jags made him look much better than he actually is.

Funny as I was thinking how well he was doing today and knowing that some on here would find fault or wouldn't give him credit.

He might well be ace there, if he gets the chance, but right now I see no need to move Distin. One bad game so far. He's had a better season than Jags ffs.

But why not give Heitinga a chance in there and see how he does? If he's off his game then at least we know to stick with Distin, but at the moment I think you are just being too kind to Dustbin. Agreed Jags is not rock steady so far this year and thats probably not helping when both are lacking confidence.

I get nervous whenever Distin has any kind of responsibility. Whether it be left one on one, a long ball over the top, hell I'm even scared when he plays it back to the keeper. I'm not meaning to be harsh on the guy but like Yobo I just can't trust him not to balls up.
Of course he had some awesome games but even in them I have the fear!

It's like saying Petr Cech was the best keeper in the league last season, because he had the most clean sheets. In reality, he just had an excellent defence in front of him. Sure he's a great keeper, but Joe Hart for example, had a lot more to contend with.

Agreed, I meant all our defence. We can't be defending brilliantly if we concede at least a goal a game.
