Cenk was scouted personally by Moshiri, wasn’t he?Do you think silva or brands had anything to do with the Jan signing of cenk and Walcott .silva was gone from watford after are pursuit of him and the surely the wheels were in motion behind the scenes for him to come to us.Always thought it was a lot of money close to 50 million to give BFS when he was always a stop gap .?

Never knew that about mosh and tosun and thinking about the Arsenal connection with Walcott that makes senseUnlikely.
Seems like it was The Mosh that scouted Tosun if you believe what was said and I wouldnt be surprised if it was The Mosh who had something to do with Walcott with his Arsenal connections.
I suppose we considered both players would be able to make an impact so not really a risk, Walcott is certainly a proven player in this league and 20m is nothing money for a player of his calibre @Zatara , Tosun is more of a risk, but I suppose the thinking was if he flopped here some Turkish fellas would defo give us some dough back for him.
But 1 thing we have seen so far is that The Mosh isnt afraid to back his managers, which lets be honest is something we have been crying out for the last 30 odd years. @davek
West Ham were truly tripe - it wasn’t even competitive! They thought they were getting an upgrade on Moyes, but I think he knows the league better. Sure, Pellers won the league, but his performances got gradually worse at Man City and he had inherited Mancini’s team. Also he is coming over after failing in China, which puts the water in backwater!
They also threw some money around, but it was all vanity signings and they failed to invest in a solid defense
Hopefully it is a time of reckoning for the Dildo Brothers!Sounds kinda familiar....
I thought Pelligrini was crap at City, to be honest and was not impressed with his hiring.
Unlikely.

I did wonder myself but good call from the handsome boss. Was fuming at the starting lineup but given how early it is in the window it makes sense clever guy is Marco
Have a feeling we will do a Martinez first season not as good but surprise a few to me we have improved on significant weakness and the only unknowns are how well the new signings will bedThe downside, if there is one, about signing lots of players is that it can take a while for them to become more than the sum of their parts. Or even the sum of their parts. Add that in to having a new manager, with the pre-existing players still getting used to a new way of playing, and things are bound to take a while to settle down. You saw that with West Ham yesterday. Loads of new signings, new manager, new style. Teams like Liverpool and City are adding players into a settled side, into a 3 year project. Teams like that are bound to find it easier to adjust.
