The 2016-17 accounts for CPFC 2010, the Palace holding company, were due by law at Companies House by 31 March this year and have
still not been filed. That is extremely unusual; it is difficult to recall any club in recent years filing accounts from a Premier League season substantially late. Palace representatives say the delay is not due to any financial problems from a year in which two managers, Alan Pardew and Sam Allardyce, departed. However, no explanation has been provided.
The Crystal Palace accounts for 2016/17 have now finally been published - and they show that the club made a profit of £12.8m.
The Eagles were the only Premier League club that failed to file its accounts to Companies House by the deadline of March 31, and subsequently incurred a fine for failure to do so.
The company that owns and runs Palace, CPFC 2010 Limited, was also recently issued a notice from the Registrar of Companies warning that it would be "struck off the register and the company would be dissolved" in two months "unless cause was shown to the contrary."
