That's why it seems socialist. Football is just rich teams get richer win more get richer win more. I'm sorry to say but when you're great dream is that an Uzbek suspected rapist oligarch buys your club the sport is close to dead.
In the US it appears that they try to keep it competitive and therefore entertaining.
Impossible to do with football at this point.

I rated Naismith. Not a worldie but a solid squad player who got some decent goals. Getting 8m for him at that stage of his career was genius though.

Both areas that we seem to be trying to address. We might not be able to fix everything in one window.

Agreed, just pointing out the obvious weak spots in our team which will plague another season until dealt with....we have to get atleast one centre back with pace in this window..... I'm all for giving Silva 3 years to rebuild the team properly (as long as the football isn't as boring as it was last season)..... Problem with this summer is, last summer was such disaster, we really need to get 2 windows worth of signings done this year to recover....

I honestly think a back 4 of Coleman Holgate Rojo Digne would be fine. The bigger problem is in midfield. I can’t see any combination that is passable.

I'm not convinced by Holgate from what I saw last season, and I've never seen Digne play so have no idea what he'll be like (coming from the Italian and Spanish league, and moving from barcalona to Liverpool City) he may take a while to settle...
