He will be another youngster who with a little pressure of expectations shows how far off he is. A player who's confidence cannot be regained even when there is nothing left to play for shows me he is mentally weak. His footballing brain is horrible, as is his passing and ball retention.

Loan him to Championship or League One, sell Schneiderlin and get a ball playing, creating CM next to Gana.

He has potential, but I fear the current management has done him more harm then good by continuing to play him. He would have been better served with a year loan in the Championship, instead he suffers in a bad side, and compounds his bad habits because he plays every game rather than serving more as an alternate. We know youngsters are eager and want to play all the time, but its the coaches job to do whats right and in most cases with young players, it means if you dont loan them out, play them sparingly against top competition.

I certainly dont think it has helped him that the rest of the midfield has been mostly terrible either.

I want him to do well. You can see he is absolutely desperate to do all he can for the club. I just don't think the talent is there. Especially if as a club we kick onto bigger things in the future. That's a pretty big if I know.

Let's hope he benefits from better players coming in this summer which helps him to improve his game.
He is still a kid ffs

Eh? He gets incredible stick from the dummy's that no nothing which is a large number.

Dread to think how still we would be without him in the side, pedestrian and laying down. He plays his game at pace and ferocity way above everyone else (Pickford excused). Physically he is up to the task with it spare. Davies for me dragged us to the resemblence of what is required to finish 6th and above next season.

Davies needs to be placed at a level where he can cope, and not leave him mercilessly exposed as being out of his depth. That may be somewhere other than Everton, in a lower league perhaps. The mantra "he is only nineteen" implies he is showing evidence of the required skills to make it at the highest level and we should give him time. He is not showing anything to indicate he will make a PL player and we cannot afford the luxury of him and a few other current players dragging us down.

Feels like he needs to be a team playing well to do well himself and if the team is in utter garbage form he just falls off, Don't think he's a bad player at all but some of his decision making is just unacceptable at the top level also I don't know what position he can play since he really isn't quick and gives the ball away quite a bit.

Still young and lacking match experience, a more progressive manager is needed for the likes of Davies.

He doesn’t pick himself or his role in team, he’s 19 and still showing more for the team than the ex Ajax captain or Snider-lin. He needs to drop out and get his confidence back, yes he’s a local lad, and probably tries harder than the rest but our club is in such a mess he gets picked, gets my support every week
