I was thinking last night, I know its only paper talk, but I cant see where Lazano and Ziyech would fit in.

If we assume we are to play 4-2-3-1, that means :

Pickford
Coleman - CB - CB - LB
Gana - CM
Walcott - Ziyech - Lazano
Tosun
Where does that leave our Record signing Iceland and our highest paid player Wayne Rooney, cos no manager who wishes to retain their job will play Wayne legs gone Rooney in a DM role.

Anyway, just a thought based on mindless paper rubbish.

Where's my Victor Vlasic?
Where's my Lance Lookman?
Where's my Henry Onyewwweruuweru?

Ziyech has played 32 games this season in the Dutch league and played 31 of those games in center midfield and once at a left wing back position. So he could drop deeper if needed.

Not CM as such, more on the right of a 3 in midfield, so technically in the middle of the park, but not in the normal sense as CM, he certainly doesnt have any attributes suited to playing as a DM in a 4-2-3-1 IMO.

Suppose with the right formation and players he could play similar to KDB in the quarterback role that seems to becoming all the rage.

Gone.

Only if Samuel sticks around like a bad smell

Could always, you know, not play them?

CB: Smalling
CM Wanyama
LB: Bertrand
LM: Ziyech

Pickford

Coleman Keane Smalling Bertrand

Wanyama Gueye

Walcott Siggurdsson Ziyech

Tosun

Our team would actually look pretty good with much more pace and physicality with those 4 additions.

Smalling and Bertrand are a big upgrade on Jagielka/Williams and Baines/Martina

Wanyama is miles better than Davies and Rooney

Ziyech would be an upgrade on Bolasie

Need to give Tosun a full season under a decent manager.
