Seems decent hopefully not wishful thinking though ........... !

I like his record did well with Sevilla and Valencia , which cant be sneezed at

We have to hope and try surely ? Otherwise what's the option ,stick with mid table managers who will continue to achieve mid table finishes? To continue this purgatory of nothingness until ,as with all perennial mid table clubs, our luck runs out and we finally and deservedly drop down?
In reality it depends on our owners ,we know we are willing to pay a top wage . If we can convince any putative manager that we are serious in our intent and are willing to financially fund the team I see no reason why we cannot attract a better quality manager than we have hitherto.
At any rate, I'd rather live in hope than wallow in despair.
Think we will have to look for an up and coming young manager who is tactically aware from one of the lesser European Leagues (but please not Silva). It's going to be a risky strategy,Huddersfield looked at first to have unearthed a gem.But thinking we are in the running for a coach who has a proven domestic trophy and CL pedigree is...

I think it depends on what where a manager wants to go with his career .

Everton want and need a manager in search of a project, not a short term job taking over a team already ready to challenge.

We have seen that money has been given to spend and certainly this summer there will be funds from players sales as well.

The question about Emery is if he feels he is now gone past a project and wants a job with a club further down the tracks or does he want a club to build his own legacy again after the disappointment of PSG.

Managers want the challenge and rewards of the premiership. Everton provide both.
