Am I missing something with this yearning for the return of Funes-Mori? What exactly does he offer than the rest already don’t?

Wood may well still have scored, but at least Funes would have made an effort and probably got out jmped and outmuscled rather than spectating with a cigar out like Gashley Williams.

But those teams below might get a surge in fortunes

The main problem we have, besides ourselves, is that all those teams stacked up behind us are all playing each other ergo they will have opportunities to close the gap on us.

Four of them actually play us at home.....it is conceivable, in fact it is likely, we will lose all four of them.

Quite bi-polar, this lot.

We arent getting relegated no matter how loud crazy people scream.

Oh their not crazy.2 league wins since December 18th.20 goals conceded in the last 11 league games. That's relegation form.Whatever way you look at it.We will probably stay up.Not because of our own "brilliance" or that of the manager.

It will be mainly because there is still 4 or 5 teams in the league, that are worse than us.If it wasn't for that initial honeymoon period under Big Sam, then we would have been screwed.People are not crazy. They are just angry and bewildered, about what a pitiful shambles our club is right now.

conceivable yes. likely no.

People are correct though, despite all the talent in the team compared with teams from the 90s, this lot are a shower of spineless drifters.

Everton v Brighton - Win - save ourselves for at home under Allardyce and Brighton don't have much. 2-1
Stoke v Everton - Draw - Few dangerous players but worse than us at the back. 2-2.
Everton v Man City - Lose - Probably 0-3.
Everton v Liverpool - Draw - Better side than us and with ease but we've already taken points off them. 1-1 again.
Swansea v Everton - Lose - Seem a side on the up with a lot of energy. 3-1.
Everton v Newcastle - Win - Stop Shelvey from dictating the game and they don't have much at all. Comfortable win. 3-0
Huddersfield v Everton - Draw - They lack quality all over the pitch, a championship side. 1-1
Everton v Southampton - Win - I'd have a few of theirs in our squad but they are pure fannies who wilt under a bit of pressure. 2-1
West Ham v Everton - Lose - Both sides will be safe in a meaningless game probably won by Arnautovic. 1-0

12 points. We'll be alright.

We won't get anything out the derby mate, not off the back of a 5/6 nil hammering at home to city. Expect the heaviest loss at goodison in a derby for a long long time

Predicted when we hired him, he'd be sacked after that derby, so far not seeing anything that changes that original timeline.

We'll then change manager, and the incoming one will get the bounce aided by a nice set of fixtures and go into the summer looking to build in those results.

If I was being cynical, I'd say leaving Sam in charge up until after the derby is out the way is not exactly the worst idea, stops a new manager getting a bad derby loss early doors.

We had some proper spawny luck with dodgy penalties etc at start of the season as well, without them we’d be in even more danger.
