Moyes said, no more money. How correct is that?

I wouldnt call him [Poor language removed], I would say average, he showed hes got the talent, anyway all I need to do is sit back and watch Billy make you look silly, go on Billy my Son, School that puppy.

Agreed. Billy is one of the players I expect to really shine this season, much like Fellaini did last season (hopefully without the injury though!)

distin is a useful player also but he faded after a good start to the season, and the money we spent on him was quite excessive since he certainly seems to be past his prime (though he may have a brilliant season )

I expect there will be more signings, though I suspect they will mostly be youngsters, and as for mot rumours I find that is best to think its bullshit until you see them playing for us (or at least smiling whilst holding the shirt).

It's unlikely Moyes would lie so we have no money. We may get a loan or two as I don't think he said we won't sign anyone before the deadline but he did say we're unlikely to bring anyone in before the start of the season. Obviously depending on not selling anyone.

I still have a feeling that we will get a suprise signing none of see coming.

Literally nothing to back this up, but just got a gut feeling!

This is a controversial opinion, but Moyes spent 'a lot' of the clubs money last season after selling Lescott, and didn't spend it very well.

The only player that was a decent buy was Heitinga. Distin, although a decent defender, is going to need to be replaced again soon, and Bilyaletdinov was disappointing.

We didn't get the max from our money, so I doubt Moyes will be given another lump sum anytime soon. He'll be told to make good on the £15 million he invested in Distin and Bilyaletdinov.

If Bilyaletdinov comes good, and we all hope he does, we've still got to bolster our defence as we have a very young duffy, an out of form Jagielka, an unhappy Yobo, an old Distin, and a mentally scarred Heitinga. Add to that a left back position with no cover other than said Distin, and a right back position that is undecided.

We still have no wingers, other than makeshift wingers, and our 2 most creative players are undecided about their future.

Saha, Distin, and Neville are all running down the clock, so we need to get our ship in order very quickly.

I disagree that we don't need to spend money. I just hope we don't have to sell a major player to find it, but really can't see the board funding Moyes this season.

I dont find your post controversial just a little laughable. You firstly reckon the board will turn round to Moyes and say make do with the £15 million you spent on distin and billy. Do me a favour they have already made rubbish of this statement by providing funds for the players which have been brought in already this season so obviously the board have not said this.

Next you say a out of form Jags. Strange this is the defender that was out for so long yet still was on contention for a world cup place yeah dead out of form that and i never saw out of form performances from

Next a unhappy Yobo. Again you must obviously know him cause i have certainly not hears constant moans of unhappiness from him

Next a mentally scarred Heitinga, You know him personally do you. Yeah his confidence will be really shot getting his country to a world cup final.

Next a right back decision undecided - yeah dead bad that one that we have 3 good options there.

I think sometimes you make statements for the sake of it and don't really think what you are saying. You have complained about every position and tried to point out we have massive issues all over the pitch which we clearly do not.

I distinctly remember seeing Heitinga chatting to Kuyt after the world cup final... and far from looking like he was suffering PTSD or some other trauma he was having a bit of a joke about something that happened in the game.

Basically BB cat is on some sort of mission of late, with his posts.

What that mission is - no one knows. The message self destructed 5 seconds after he read it...

But what we do know is most of what he's saying is a. impossible and b. a load of rubbish.

He's no Tom Cruise is BB cat.

Think we'll see 1 Left Back in on loan

and another two youngsters (U21's) come in. No marquee signings - that will be if it happens either Pienaar or Arteta resigning on.

What Moyes will do is reenforce what he's already got with players like Maggie Guy-eye who basically are little unpolished gems he can get at a good price and basically make the dogs proverbial.

Maggie Guyeye looks frankly a snip. And am well impressed with him. Delighted infact.

Let the frenzy begin:

David Moyes has re-asserted that this summer won’t be one of major signings for Everton, but has said it is down to the board to make sure he doesn’t lose his best players.

The Blues’ boss has already made several small-fee signings this summer, but he insists that there won’t be floods more arriving.

“I don’t think it will be a busy one,” Moyes said of his summer.

“The biggest thing is we keep the players we have got at the club.

“It is for the board and chief executive to re-sign the players we have got and if they do I will be happy.

“Hopefully we will add one or two additions, then I’ll be looking forward to next season.”

That's a clear public dressing down for Elstone in the wake of the Gosling affair.

Ha ha clearly!

Club in turmoil and what not!

Elstone is in Moyes cross hairs. He contradicted the manager this time last year over transfer spending, then he lets him down again this year by losing him a player. He's on borrowed time at the club, I'd say.

Mwas the same with Wyness - hes a bad agitator is that Moyes.

Theres more to the Gosling situation then we all know. Clubs don't make fek up like that. something else was going on. also gosling wants 2 play in the center of the park. Thats not going to happen at Everton. I really think theres more to that story.

Moyes says there won't be one major signing this year. So that means there will be TWO :)

We've got the best squad we had thats i've ever known and i'm almost 30. We should be possative and optimistic but then again we support Everton. We are the England of club football. Build you up and promise loads and then fail at the most important time. I wouldn't swap Everton for anyone.

I'll start by saying that I am quite optimistic about the new season but generally would describe myself as a reasoned bloke.

It's all about opposing views.

Billy - not done it for me yet. I hope he turns it on this year or it's back to the salt mines with him.
Peanuts - I struggle here. We bought him for £2m he has had 1 good season and is valued at £15m. Wow, if he wont sign this week, sacrifice him.
Vic - not a winger, not a right midfielder, an impact substitute for me.
Timmy - thanks Tim but you are probably slipping down the pecking order
Ozzy - fills a gap - see Tim

Landon - yup...gave us something different, pace.
Arteta - smashing
Fellaini - watch out, could be a truly fantastic player, needs to be a bit cuter, ask big Dunc about being a big strong bloke
Rodders - FEC. Future England Captain

So whilst our midfield is the best it has been for a long long time....it is not the finished article for me, we do not have sufficient strength in depth.

I'd expect that the sales of Jutkiewicz and Ruddy roughly covered what we paid for Gueye and Silva. It's concerning that we've pulled our funding for Everton Tigers, as it suggests we need to make urgent cutbacks.

If Pienaar is not going to sign a new contract then we need to sacrifice him. We're in no position to allow £15m of talent to walk out the door for nothing next summer. I would presume that we're waiting for him to return to the club to resolve the situation and for the transfer merry go round to get into full swing.

I don't think that Donovan will be available to us as a permanent signing due to the MLS's desire to retain their golden boy and the lure of someone like City if they did make him available. For the reported £8m though, we'd have a happy player on a long contract and a much needed £7m in the bank if we were able to offload Peanuts and bring in Landon.
