Computer games.

Do you get horizons with that as well? Or just the base game?

Just the base game I believe. I haven't actually checked/installed yet as I went straight out to football as soon as I bought it! :o

How has it taken so long for VR to finally become widely available. I remember Craig Charles had a tv show with VR like 25 years ago.

Red Dwarf season 6

Those were some of my fave episodes. Duh-waaaaayne, Dibley! :D :D

Rimmer: You took your time. Where've you been?

Lister: I was in the AR machine.

Rimmer: Again?

Lister: What do you mean again?

Rimmer: Everybody knows you only use the AR machine to have sex.

Lister: That is not true!

Rimmer: Yes, true! It's pathetic watching you grind away on your own, day after day after day. You're like a dog that's missing its master's leg! That groinal attachment's supposed to have a lifetime's guarantee. You've worn it out in nearly three weeks.

Lister: That's an outrageous, scandalous piece of libel. I don't just play the roleplay games. What about the sporting simulations like Zero-G kickboxing, and Wimbledon?

Rimmer: You only play Wimbledon because you're having it off with that jailbait ball girl.

Lister: That is another total lie! She's not jailbait, she's 17.

Rimmer: Lister, she's a computer sprite and surely that's the point, she's just a load of pixels.

Lister: Yeah, but what pixels!

TIMESPLITTERS IJ OBVIOUSLY

The only FPS game I’ve ever not been turd at.
I agree. Timesplitters was amazing at the time.

That or a twisted metal game again. Think rocket league but everyone is just destroying each other. A proper sequel though, designed for online okay.

Got a bit of an update to do then ill be blasting off.

Gives me some time to think up a ship name.

It's collectively known as the 'Freewinder' as it is a Sidewinder, but even if you crash it and die, you get it back for free with no penalty.

When you get better ships, always try to have the insurance value in your kitty - Don't fly without rebuy. Think of the cocky git (not me) who spent all of his money on a shiny new Anaconda only to smear it across the station. He didn't have the insurance money, so it was back into the Freewinder for him!

I'll only buy the complete "Game of the Year" or whatever edition. Never buy Civ new, no point as it's not the complete game on release.

The above tactic pays off again. Civ6 and two DLC packs on Humble Bundle Monthly for about a tenner with around six other games to come.

The guy at the shop reckons so too.

Okay I have managed to dock in the training mission and I've just made an absolute mockery of piloting basics all over the shop.

Whats the go with the inability to invert the pitch? Never mind the roll built in to the yaw? I'm reading it may only be frozen in training mode? Hope so I because I don't have a hope in hell of doing it the other way! Should be an hour or two on the upload.

On the PC you can bind the controls ANY way you want to.

I assume you are PS4, so unfortunately I am not really sure how the controls work except I know that you can use a button as a modifier changing the functions of the other buttons.

You should be able to switch off yaw into roll.

Also, from memory, the training missions are harder than heading out into the game itself. You could just launch straight into the game and do your training there, just without direction! You can also whack on gimballed weapons which have limited target tracking making it easier to hit with than the fixed mount weapons.
