I won't even pretend to apply any sort of rules of logic and reason to what they do because it was so unreasonable that they had to bring that tax in to kerb it.

Your point about "For this guy?" is one I think that doesn't really make sense. Take Ighalo for example, he wasn't a world beater and they wanted him. They can't get the world beaters and they were already paying through the nose to bring average talent over there

This tax puts them in a weird position where, even if they want to improve the team with a foreign player they can no longer go after the ludicrously expensive signings because of the tax. Cenk might represent value to money to them in what is a limited player market for them to operate in.

As I said though, I won't pretend to be able to make sense of Chinese football.

But again, Ighalo was prior to the tax. For transfer over 6M, they have to donate the exact same amount to China's football fund. So they'd literally be paying 35M to the club and 35M to the government. So my point isn't that Cenk is bad, my point is that he's not 70M good.

What has Van Dijk done to be labelled world class? Talk of pulling pants down as well. £75m for Van Dijk lol

So all world class players start at world class clubs?? You can’t be world class if you started your career at ablesser club??
Maybe world class was a bit strong but the lad is quality and comfortably one of the best defenders in the league.
Yeah they did get their pants pulled down completely, it’s the same situation, Liverpool desperate for a defender so Southampton pulled their pants down. We’re desperate for a striker Besiktas pull out pants down, except Tosun isn’t anywhere near the quality Van dyke is.

Exactly. Not sure why some of our fans love any opportunity to take a dig at the club and in the process give way over the top unnecessary praise to them. I wouldn't even call Coutinho "World Class" to be honest. Would he get in a World 11? Is he in the best 2 or 3 players in his position in the world? Not a chance for me.

Great player though and done far more to be given that label than Van Dijk has imo.

To be honest I was bored and wanted to see what Everton fans thought about tosun and started to read from page one and didn’t agree with some things wanted to express my opinion , I m not here to argue really , I m you guys are not happy I will delete my account continuou just reading ,
For example everyone used to love the Slaven bilic when he was Bjk coach , I went on the forum and said he will get sacked in couple of years he is no good as a coach in EPL everyone started to swear at me but I was right in the end

Well luckily I didn’t support any English team before because if it wasn’t Everton you would all hate me , also I was the game besiktas beat Chelsea 2 nil at their home , I was on besiktas Tottenham game , besiktas Arsenal game , besiktas Napoli ,benfica , feyenord , Lisbon ,Lyon , Brugge , dinamo kiev and many more I try to go all European games , I will support Everton in Uk tho
