Age will always always come in to it for a player in the role that Davies plays. There really aren't many young consistent deep lying play makers about at all.
Good point when he came into the team he was playing the attacking roll - today he was along side Snides defensively!
A total different role!

Agree with both of you. Honestly, he's simply lacking maturity and top flight experience. He's going to make some bad decisions. Simple as that. I'd prefer he made them while staying aggressive, which would be better if he was higher up the pitch, but he's not. I understand they want to play him ahead of Besic, Beni, Klaassen, but not sure playing him in a deeper role is the best way to go. Might be better coming off the bench, but still in a more aggressive attacking role.

I personally would play Klaassen as he is more of a box to box type that will make better decisions, but without great movement on the pitch, not sure it would matter.

Tries to do too much imo. Should just play it simple, gives the ball away too often in dangerous positions.

In fairness we do need someone trying something because our players look incapable of doing anything but passing it backwards and sideways. Just a shame when Davies does try to get things moving he fails.

Beni maybe, but flat footed Klassen no chance he will be gone in January!

He's a young lad plying his trade. The more games he gets the better he will become. We need some experienced attacking players in midfield to take some pressure off him. It must be frustrating for him in a sense that other than Rooney there's nobody taking the ball and looking to drive forward.

So if I read your right, we need more attacking midfielders around him. More number 10s then ...
