In all seriousness, I think he needs his confidence managing which could be a spell out of the team and easing back in.

He was poor today but he's getting asked to do an impossible task. How can the lad drive us up the pitch and play some passes in behind when we are sat so deep and have nobody making runs?
He's 19 yet consistently comes in for harsh words from our fans, if he's still struggling in five years then maybe have a pop. For now he's very much a work in progress and I've no doubt he'd flourish in an attacking team.

you could say that about about 8 players today - Kenny MOTM by a mile nothing in midfield as per usual!
Don’t give a flying one how old he is. Rooney could not be left out the team at 17, age should not come into it. Good enough you are old enough and this lad is not good enough for the first team. Doesn’t mean he is written off

To be fair, there is a huge onus on him and Schneiderlin to do exactly that given their role in the team. If they're not grabbing the game by the scruff of the neck and driving the team forward then who is?
The fact is that both are so poor and safety first on the ball that it does result in us being very negative. The second Davies does try to play offensive stuff he gives the ball away.

we never pressed them in midfield we just sat deep the Big sam way , but look it's another clean sheet it's another point - but this is not the school of science football we like to see - but the squad is so unbalanced atm!

Age will always always come in to it for a player in the role that Davies plays. There really aren't many young consistent deep lying play makers about at all.
