The Budget

Ghost, asking if scousers are workshy is not only offensive on here, but it's also a lie.

You already know this, it's quite bad pushing that angle as it's not getting you anywhere especially since all your questions have been answered.

I put it down to scouse envy, England rips us because it's jealous of us.

Your Davek aren't you? You don't act like this on PM so behave out here, because I know what buttons to press. Don't I? eh?

If by the spinmaster, you mean the legend that is Davek, he was merely playing his normal game, sticking up for the working classes, a fine game he plays.

Cheers mate. The web<laughs>master is playing his usual game of insult followed by apology followed by insult. As predictably dull as those web pages he designs I'd wager.

Have I? No, why is it a different economy?

Yes. Local economies differ in the types of jobs.

A place with more people employed in the public sector and more people unemployed due to less overall jobs is going to be hit harder by this budget than a place with less people employed in the public sector and less unemployed.

Don't bring lazyness into the argument because claiming a whole city shares the same personality is infact school stuff. We're no more lazy than anyone else.

Fine, if you say that Liverpool workers are not lazy then fair enough. Your the first person to say that, and now you have given me a balanced opinion.

There is no need to be all defensive, I know that most lads here are solid people with a can do attitude. Other than Goat and Chico who post 24/7 with their laptops on their fat bellys and a straw directly to the biggest vat of coke ever known to man.

he lives in a world where all Scousers are scroungers or criminals; Scots are mean; Irish are thick; blacks rape women. Pray that he sticks you on ignore mate.

I'm interested, I'm looking at pushing my business that way, so I am interested.

Well, I'm certainly not lazy. Like I said, I've gotten up at 5:00 am to clean toliets, I've worked from 10pm to 7am on saturday night and then walked 3 miles home because there were no buses running at that time and I applied for hundreads of jobs without getting anywhere.

You seem to think that if you haven't got a full time job its because you haven't tried hard enough and, in my experience, it really isn't. I know people on job seekers who are just unlucky, nothing more.

We have a lot of unemployed in this city, yes, but I reject the idea that there's a link between not having a job and beign lazy. Simple as that.

How do you know that? You don't know me.

I've started working in a restaurant at 15 because I wanted money because my parents were not rich and I needed to help myself. I studied at college and did 30 hours a week, then went to Uni, came home on a Friday afternoon and worked Fri, all day Sat and Sun day - then back to Uni for the week.

When I graduated in 2000 I couldn't get a job in my industry, wasn't prepared to move down south because I love where I am from and wanted to stay close to my roots.

It took 5 years of me working in restaurants, factories - getting up at 6am with some right losers I can tell you, temping, and not once have I claimed any dole or anything. I have always made sure that I could get work, and I live in the North West.

5 years ago I finally got a place in my industry by setting up myself, I suffered during the recession so worked a crap job again, and now I am starting up again.

So don't assume anything, ok pal?

Other people work too mate, except they have families to support so they don't have the disposable income you and I enjoy.

Your aloof Tory attitude is not making you any friends, seriously, quit before you're hounded out. I like having you around here.
