Have you honestly never heard away fans singing "Sign on, sign on" at the game mate?
Lots get said at the footy mate.
Can I ask though, is this "Scousers are workshy" not true?

Right well if Liverpool look after their own, then surely it's down to them to sort it out.
Or have I got that wrong?
the damon lid is getting away with spouting his usual and getting offensive towards dave as well.
Am I dancing ?
you seem to think that outside of the city limits people weren't affected mate, the whole of the North West was hit in pretty much the same way, if you are gonna adopt a 'look after our own' mentality then it won't take long for the rest of the region to leave you isolated, I suppose then I will have to not speak at the match for fear of not having the right accent. I had to move to the other side of the world to find work, with a backpack and feck all in my pocket, so the city wasn't the only area affected at all, and I fail to see how it will affect the city more than somewhere 14 miles away.

I would have to say its a myth, possibly started around the time of the Dockers Strike.
I would imagine Liverpool has about the same % of workshy people as most other overtly "poor" Major Citys.
Ok, so then why is Merseyside hit the most?
Its not, who ever started that lie is a buffoon.
It will be as hit as hard as most other overtly "poor" major Citys.
Am not on about people from outside the city and we've been isolated before by the way. Am on about this area because this area is hit hard enough as it is. If you found work then good for you but where would I have gone with 4 kids and a mrs to look after? All am saying is I dont trust the Tories. They've done us before.
If by the spinmaster, you mean the legend that is Davek, he was merely playing his normal game, sticking up the working classes, a fine game he plays.
well i decided I didnt want to live on the far side of the earth, now I live 14 miles from you, I have 3 kids and haven't got a pot to slash in as they say, I'm self-employed and now all my bills have just risen due to vat rising. I can't pass it on to customers as if my phone dont ring then i dont have any customers. My point is that I dont see how someone in the city is any more affected than I am ?
