lol

Just seen their goal. 2nd match on the bounce with lead in his boots. He's so poor at the moment.

Once again completely switching off in the box, like he did against Atalanta.

Does this fella not understand that 10 yards from our goal isn’t the place to be casual?

Needs dropping, confidence has gone through his boots

What's his excuse for their goal though? That was absolutely shocking. As is his inability to find a forward pass or get the team moving.

All this, if we can see it week in and week out why can't Ron?

Schneids is a decent player when he's on form but he is very clearly struggling and I really think he is a large part of our problem, we are basically a man down when he is playing, Ron is too loyal to his signings and something has to give here, Ron's stubbornness here is costing us and if he can't see it or simply refuses to do anything about it then it truly is time for him to go.

Frustrating. He's a good player when on form, but he doesn't seem to want any responsibility with the ball at the moment.

His first instinct is to go back or sideways, always taking the easy option. Just because your classed as a defensive midfielder doesn't mean you can't look to go forward.

There is NOTHING forward tho.

This is definitely part of the problem. Schneiderlin has been poor in a few ways this season but every midfielder is going to look bad dithering on the ball, passing backwards or losing possession when there's absolutely no movement ahead. Gueye and Davies have also suffered because of this.

Still, he's performing below himself right now. I fear that every thread is half a step away from slipping into Koeman bashing but I do worry when he can't get the best out of a player he has worked with previously and has actively campaigned to sign.

...the position he’s playing is very specialised and he’s been found wanting. It makes folk appreciate the likes of Gareth Barry and Lee Carsley in having the discipline to sit in front of the back four and work that space (between the lines) that clever opposition players operate in.

His lack of awareness and reaction led to their goal yesterday. That was a situation he should’ve dealt with.
