Is anyone else worried

Do you not remember the end of the Brown Shoes era?

Do you not remember how dreadful we were in October/November last season?

We have so many new faces that need to gel. Yes, we miss Rom's goals. But we still have enough firepower to have a go. I expect a better performance on Sunday, although United will be very difficult to break down. For a new-ish squad like we have, this really was a horrible run of games to start the season.

Yep. I think we should do a Martin O'Neill Villa job, and drop out of the Euro Cup, also the EFL Cup. Just use 2nd eleven & youth
team players for these 2 mouse cups, we won't win either of them so why bother with injuries and tiredness. Concentrate on
staying up and having a proper bash at the real cup. After blaming ineptness & weakness from our players against
Chelsea & Spurs respectively, it doesn't seem as though RK is going to blame himself for any of this. He could I suppose blame
Barkley, for not signing for Chelsea and using his transfer money for another amazing striking acquirement.

We would have to actually attempt it to find out if Man U are difficult to break down.

Not too optimistic on that front.

I am stating the obvious here, but we got to 7th position last year mainly due to someone who knew where the back of the net was.
Sadly, until possibly January, we haven't got anyone remotely like that, so whereas I admire your optimism, 7th is a pipedream.

I'm looking around and can't see anyone outside the top 6 that has a 20+ goalscorer either, I wouldn't go as far as to say it's a pipe dream mate, that's a bit dramatic.

I wouldn't disagree over what you are saying, but we are still ahead of that group of teams...not sure if any if the are good enough to close that 15pt gap
Will be tough if we don't get a quality forward in the next window

I reckon most of us have written of the Utd game already, in fact a good few would have presumed we would only have had three points we earned against Stoke.
So let's assume the season starts for us against Bournemouth. Now here is the worrying bit.
Quite simply, putting aside whatever potential our team has, it simply hasn't shown itself in the performances to date.
We can only hope that in just under a fortnight we have started to click.

Very interestingly Villa fans helped play a role in their downfall. O'Neill was backed by money (and made some awful buys to be fair) and the fans pushed and demanded more as their expectations went up, managers came in and got condemned quickly and a boom bust cycle started to avoid relegation. There was no chance of sustainability with new managers and the board was reactive to fanbase.

I'm sure that won't be us.
