Make him first choice striker for me. We brought him in so play him, now's not the time to be cushioning him from the league because we do kinda need him to adapt quicker now

He's been first choice striker in the last two games and it hasn't worked!

He isn't a lone striker.

He needs to be played with a partner or in a wide position with a bit of freedom to move inside.

That's not as a winger, but as one of three players in an actual 4-3-3

If Koeman uses a formation with one up top, then that player has to - at the moment - be DCL. Sandro and Rooney aren't lone forwards.

Don't think we're gonna see the best of Sandro for some time but he's young and his enthusiasm will pay off once he finds his feet. We've had signings who took years to show anything like the form we expected of them - Gravesen as a prime example. I don't expect we'll see a truly effective Sandro until next season, and once we have a proper centre forward for him to play off.

For me I'd play him over Rooney, Rooney is getting in everyone's way at the minute trying to do every role on the pitch, get Vlasic/Mirallas on one wing Sigurdsson on the other with Klassaan in behind DCL/Sandro actually play football rather than lump it up to a midget upfront who has no chance of winning the ball

He was injured last time out mate, we rushed him back into the team so hardly a good comparison.

It really isn't, we can play Rooney off sandro and tell him to avoid the half way line, we can play with young wide players in a counter attack style, we can pack the midfield and have sandro running channels if we need to hold a lead (moyes esq)

It's just that I haven't seen anything that suggests what he might be able to do. Having just watched the Deportivo v Real Sociedad game I can see why he might have prospered in La Liga. Different game and different attributes needed to play in the Premier League.

For a young lad, he doesn't put himself about much. Haven't seen any of this great movement the YouTube scouts mentioned when we signed him either. Needs to adapt sharpish.

Koeman threw him under the bus yesterday, asking him to be the target man expecting him to bring down balls from the air against that absolute unit Sanchez. If you want someone to do that job then have DCL on from the start you absolute melon.

I watched him closely yesterday and I think hes a good player and did really well considering , I was looking forward to him getting a few knock ons in the S/H from DCL , really miffed when he didn't reappear. He was having a go , had one great strike that hit Alderweirld full on the head , he had three big guys to play against and was really up against it.

He is way too slow to play CF.
