Last night showed why Schneiderlin, klaassen and gueye are ahead of him in the pecking order.

Absolutely no slight on the lad, immensely talented just has plenty to learn. We'll get more performances like last nigh from him, but it'll improve him

Think he's better in that midfield 3 as opposed to a 2 right now. But last night was just one game and all the young lads show inconsistency.

Disagreeing with some here. Deeper role seems to suit him better, where he can pick out passes and run from deep. Has already played 3 different positions in 5 games, one of the reasons the lad has struggled a bit for form imo.

I think yellow cards for certain players ruin their games, and I think that's exactly what happened with Davies tonight. Wouldn't say he was awful, average against a dominate city side. He's young and he'll learn!

The Echo may well ooze over his 'midfield generalship' but he has started the season in very uncertain fashion. Not influencing the game anywhere near enough.

Didn't think he looked out of place this evening although didn't think he looked top-notch either - which if you think about it is a great compliment for a kid of his age playing against the talent that City have. People will have started to 'work him out' with dossiers on him from last season, so now is the time he needs to cement his place. He will have a good future with us, injuries permitting.
