Scared of making mistakes in the middle of the park this evening and the side creaked when he came on.

Improved for being further forward where any risks would have less impact. Understandable to see why he is now lower in the pecking order.

Thought he was really poor and mostly anonymous when he came on today.

Which is proper random.
Looked a bit lost when we were in possession and headless chicken when we didn't. Maybe the tempo of the game didn't suit him but he looked worried about wanting the ball. Still learning so he'll have these games, we have to expect it.

That's what happens when a player is dropped unfairly - still full of energy better than Besic who's had a rod with his barberlol

To be fair to him you can't keep a team out for 90 minutes especially this early in the season with fitness not being peak yet. It was a tough game to come on in even though they didn't offer a massive threat if you get what I mean? He's young, these games will happen, he will learn. It's his first European game to isn't it? European football is different in terms of what you can get away with, the tempo of the game, the play acting of the opposition dependent on who you play. Davies will be sound, he's a clever player with a great attitude

dreadful tonight. Thought it was a bit odd putting him on ahead of Besic just for what he was expected to do. Didn't impose himself onto the game at all.

Lad is only what, 18/19?... They're allowed bad games. Just gotta learn from his mistakes

Davies is a good talent but I guarantee given the criticism Barkley has came in for from our fans that he will probably get it even worse. I think his performances have been fantastic for such a young lad but I couldn't hand on heart say he's going to be a top player. I see him more of an Osman/Mark Noble, which is absolutely fine because your squad always needs players like that.

Think he'll be a cut above those two, more like a Ramsey but not a Gerrard/Lampard if you get me
