Im not to worried to be honest, the majority and likely the core of the squad will stay together - anyone who leaves wont do better anywhere else then. With the exception of Rodwell - who we wont sell.

There will be cash albeit maybe not the 20 million people will hope for without selling IMO. Id be happy with 8-10 mill to pick up a Zog or a Chris Eagles - i wouldnt mind one or two of Hulls squad to if they go - with Mucha, Beckford, Silva and a canny loan or two we will be gravey.

From the post this morning:

“I think we're in a better position now than four years ago, and that in itself should make it easier to attract players even if we don't qualify for Europe.

“But unless we have big, big money to spend, unless you are talking about £15m-20m players, I think the kind of players we are looking at would be happy to sign for Everton.

“We are looking for somebody that can make a difference at the top end, and we might not find that.

“We might have finance to do more. But at the moment, bringing in one or two would be good for the squad.”

Big - Up to Moyes , Neiler AND Source , ...

Apparently Elton John is playing a gig at Vicarage Road to raise transfer funds for Watford.

Can't we get bill to put on a play at Goodison or something.

That outta raise a couple of quid.

ive been thinking about this and i dont see much room for us to be able to sell players tbh.

so its a case of looking at the positions and the cover.who is surplus ?

rb - coleman or hibbert ?
st - anichebe or vaughan ?
mid- osman or gosling ?

i think any of those 6 going will have a mixed reception.

then i looked at the elder statesman with sell on value....nev , cahill ,yobo , saha , i would only sell any of these if the offer was too good to turn down.

then theres the players who's form has been 'inconsistant' this season (despite the reasons) yak ,yobo , bily ........ i wouldnt like to sell any of these, although 12 million for yak i would consider , i think we can do some good business with that sort of money (transfer fee + wages saved) and get 1 or 2 replacement strikers.

howard jags arteta pienaar fellaini heitinga baines rodwell , i wouldnt sell any of these players regardless of the need for money or the price offered.

moyes clearly has some very hard decisions to make.

The only people I can really see going that most fans wouldn't mind would be Yobo/Distin and one of Vaughan/Anichebe. If we could get a decent bit of £££ for two of those and use it to get Donovan (unlikely imo) or N'Zogbia (would be well pleased with that) then I think we will have done well.

Ofcourse, next season with Billy showing us what he's fully capable of, hopefully Pienaar will stay, a full season of Arteta, Felliani, and Cahill, with Rodwell and Heitinga to play the DM role, there won't be much space, except for to cover injuries. Still he'd be a quality rotation player/back-up for Baines, and he can hit them from distance too, something many people have been clamouring for recently.

You didn't get it. That's why I was saying hello to you (a hotty).

But yes, is the answer to your question. I told them all about the aceness that is LCAB.

Im sure telling the 'hotties' all about a strange man you talk to on the internet and the things his source tells him went down a treat!! :p

I've seen that Miscreant Man before nonsense stuff.

All I'll say is GOT is the place to be for quality and sensible info and discussion of what EFC are doing this summer.

You won't get the "we're selling ... the team" or any of that crap. We've looked at the recent article about EFC's accounts and compared to other clubs, and cut through the propaganda that seemed to suggest that EFC were in some poor position, when say compared to Aston Villa. Which infact we are not. But you also get good snippets of info that are great for a forum like this from LCAB/"SOURCE".

What you will get is the genuine info, and realistic discussion as well as some info on (only) WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

I've never donated to an Everton forum before, but it is a pleasure to contribute to GOT.

You may see stuff in the papers this summer... but GOT is the only place to understand whats happening.

EFC do put out false "interest" stories in players to confuse our rival clubs. Its gamesmanship. We're playing the game. Equally when Moyes says the club's in a better position to 2004 its true.

Over 20000 season tickets sold by mid-April for next season, despite a recent economic recession. is a good indicator that the support of the club is growing and getting stronger. Just like the first team.

Being an Evertonian for 38 years means that any bad news/rumours I hear have to be true and anything good is obviously a load of bollocks!!...It's the Everton way!

Thats why I took massive exception to the article about the accounts, then the KEIOC jumping on the bandwagon.
http://www.grandoldteam.com/forum/threads/27289-Everton-accounts-discussion-and-ownership

No need to be frightening people.

THERE IS NO FINANCIAL REQUIREMENT FOR EVERTON TO SELL ANYONE IN THE SUMMER.

Moyes may sell, to reinvest but thats changes he wants to make.

Yes Elstone has two major challenges: a. Stadium and b. increasing commercial revenues.

But the key thing Everton say compared to Aston Villa HAVE NOT DONE was, last summer we didn't have a huge increase in spending (fees, wages and other overheads - PLUS increasing debt level).

Aston Villa gambled big time on getting CL football and they're going into their own credit crunch this summer and with a large deficit. (cost increase by 50% and debt up 20% to £90m)

Everton didn't increase the debt, and although costs may have risen (this "player amortisation of contracts" is a ? thing) they haven't by anywhere near as much.

The article itself suggested Everton NEED to sell Rodwell for £15m.

ABSOLUTE RUBBISH. And it annoyed me that KEIOC were first comment on there - agreeing with its assessment.

They're supposed to be working with the club not making sneaky comments by innuendo.

There is no pressing need for Everton to sell anyone. Certainly not with the fact that the new Foreign TV deal wipes out Everton's (player amoitisation of contracts) loss this year with more to spare.

And I'll say this:

Commercially ELSTONE is miles ahead of the idiot Wyness.
I want to see that 9.2 million commercial revenue increase next season and Elstone needs to get it up. That and the Stadium are what Elstone can do for us.
