Wow, that was close 2-3 to us, Yakubu and Cahill you guys are the man! 3 points in the bag and that is all matter, but we need to stop ourselve from conceding that many goals!

Thank [Poor language removed]! Thats the first Cahill scored with his feet in a seriously long time... But we need to sort our freakin' defense out!

Hurray we won! I should be soooo happy. Am I as happy as I should be? No I'm not.

Had it been a draw then we never deserved to be in europe. That hard work of 4 months would have all gona in vain.

Teams know that if we get a goal early on then we would either sit back like did at brum or miss chances like we have this season.

Jagielka, Distin were awful..even Billy was better than that.

Now for the good points:

Yakubuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu...is that a record of scoring the fastest goal from a sub. Did he beat Michael Chopra? Then the assist...omg! I'd love to see what the people here who were saying that he should be offloaded in the summer have to say. Shame Shame on them.

Cahill scoring with his feet after more than a tear. Feet, headers, chests, butts to nod in don't matter at this stage. Just get the goals.

Bainsey with a 101 mph thunderbolt. What a goal that would have been, something a.cole, bridge, warnock cannot get close to doing.

Moyesy playing 3 forwards on the pitch after a looooooooong time

What. A. Match.
I agree. Blackburn is a team found on New York City sidewalks.
They should never have been in that game.
Those two Blackburn goals were crackers, though. Not sure how Timmay Howard could have saved those. But, really, wouldn't we all like to see him make a spectacular save now and then? Besides a PK save, I haven't seen him make a spectacular, out-of-nowhere save in a while.
But those goals bring me to this point -- Everton sorely miss Fellaini. Since he's been injured, these late goals have been coming like Jenna Jameson in a one-hour flick.
His calm and especially his defensive work in the middle of the field are musts for this team.
Here's hoping he is not sold to Real Madrid.
If he is, Everton needs to invest in a REAL central defensive midfielder. Neville needs to be regulated to the bench.
Someone like Michael Bradley would be great. Tireless worker. Never stops running. His sole purpose on the field is to destroy attacks and make opposing attackers uncomfortable on the ball.
He won't provide as much goals or magic on the ball as Fellaini but he'll make a huge difference defensively in the middle and defensive third of the field.
He will also allow Arteta to be more free to roam, push and attack with a roaming.
Everton doesn't need another striker, maybe a new left-sided midfielder (Bily has disappointed the last three weeks, minus a goal), but a midfield destroyer is a must.

I've just got back in to see the score, pleased with win but the score says it was a close game.

How did we play? who was in our starting 11? does everybody love Cahill again?

Played beautiful football. Was looking too easy. First 10 minutes they didnt see the ball.

We couldnt handle anything they put into the box. Lack of height. Howard wasnt on his game. We were too slow on the break and could've killed them off plenty of times.

They score a screamer. Yak comes on, scores.

They score another screamer straight after as Dustbin just let Roberts turn and shoot from 25 yards out. 2-2.

All us. Anichebe presses well, looks strong. Yak with a great turn, lays it across for Timmy....3-2.

Oh and Arteta shouldve been sent off in the 1st half for poking Pedersen in the eye.

Arteta was a very lucky fella today, you cant do that this day and age.
Cant believe how good Cahill is playing right now, hope this dosent attract the wrong kind of attention this transfer window, would hate to lose him.

Who have Villa got now...7th anyone?

Re: THE YAK today

As source and LCAB said. His heads back in it and the bodies starting to get it too........

Quite simply he got in the box, first touch - ball in net.

Then when Everton conceded the second, Yak was the one doing the encouraging on the half way line, geein everyone up....

Then at the end.. Yak showed HIS determination to win, sent someone the wrong way and put Cahill in for sweet blue musik.

How we all sung as Tim stuck one on Fat Sam.

Anyway.

Cahill and The Yak stuck one to the snides today.

And as for the two goals conceded thats what happens when you take Fellaini and Heitinga out the team.

Thought Neville did ok, not sure why he put it out for the throw, and the team need to close down more in the middle of the park.

But that Ref. He didn't help with our confidence as ours were worried to death of conceding fouls because they weren't sure on what the Ref would give.

Blackburn under Fat Sam - few snides.

But the Yak and Cahill with the Best little Spaniard we know, stuck one to the snides.
