Usmanov

It only remains unanswered if you ignore any chance that at any point people buy a sizeable stake in any company without demanding or having a say in that company mate

Paul insists no one would purchase a 30% share of Arsenal without having some voice, but ignores any point put to him about countless other companies that have large % shareholders who are perfectly happy to just have it as an investment.

he could sell them to an investment fund, or an individual who is perfectly happy with as Paul calls it 'premier league exposure' (yet discounts anyone else valuing that besides when he states its benefit to Usmanov and Moshiri), Kroenke may decide finally he would like full ownership - which 'actually' does carry benefits to him which he hasn't already got - you think Kroenke may like not having to call AGM's and answer to people? - full ownership i believe he can do just that. Hell he can even put the shares up for general sale - given Arsenals global fan base, given how well it does in corporate sales etc and given the clubs profile, do you think they wouldn't sell fast if he did so?

Aye, that could be possible.

Thing is though, if someone wanted it as an investment, would that someone be content that they have absolutely no say in how said investment is run or managed? But then I own about 12 shares in Standard Life, and let some others do whatever they do. Would I be happy that they would still deliver a decent return if I owned 30%?

Maybe? Dunno.

It's the one thing I can't see being resolved easy. Kronke won't sell his shares barring disaster. He doesn't need to buy uzzies shares and would risk the wrath of arsenal fans if he did plus it renders usmanov powerless in the situation. Good luck to usmanov convincing somebody to buy a dead end product 300 mil worth with no say.

That dead end product has increased in its value by 300m over the past 10 years mate

Kroenke could also find a partner amongst the NFL owners, or even the league itself, to help for either A) Further league exposure over here and B) to do with the league's expansion.

It has been floated, apparently.

It's all relative though mate, most people have private pensions with companies - they are completely unable to have any say in what the company controlling that does as far as investing the money your paying into it for the final payout when you retire for example

Similarly in the grand scheme of things your 12 shares in standard life are the equivalent to usmanov owning 30% of Arsenal in terms of personal wealth invested

Numerous individuals will see the likes of an Arsenal as a rock solid long term investment opportunity - will Arsenal fail - ofc it won't it's gotten too big - same way United etc won't ever fail in the true sense of the word

Irrelevant. Unless he sells it.

It isn't really though mate, thats like saying Moshiris wealth which a huge part is in USM shares is irrelevant unless he sell it

Usmanov for example - his personal wealth went up a fair bit this year - and the way that rise was measured by every financial body was in his companies value rising which he has a % investment in

The stadium and Liverpool Waters is the key to it all. I fully expect someone or some group to either invest in us or in the liverpool waters project/money towards the stadium in the next 12-18 months imo.

Regarding the FF deal Why would Usmanov allow his company to invest In a premeir league rival?

I think if our shirt sponser turns out to be USM or a megafon etc. then we'll know for definite Usmanov has some connection to the club. I think the whole £75 million sponsership deal combining both a shirt sponser and naming rights wouldn't Make sense if it wasn't from the same group/company.

Btw when do we announce our shirt sponser? Strange how we announced the USM FF deal but not the shirt. Makes me think possibly it is USM and we didn't want to announce it right away as to put suspicions from the FA on us

David Frances wife in an interview on Toffeeweb seems to hint at Usmanovs possible involvement

Those that know, know USManov is involved!!

The arrival of Mr Moshiri has been a signal of renewed ambition. The Old Lady looks radiant after the application of a bit of lippy and the naming rights deal for USM Finch Farm is so bold that it should be followed by something as lucrative at Goodison during its twilight years. And let’s not forget the ongoing developments at Finch Farm. It’s a tremendous club initiative – good enough for the world’s finest players and their very expensive cars. Then there’s the anticipation of additional Russian funds and unfounded speculation of Chinese investment in the longer term. Who knows? But I suspect the other shoe - or two - has yet to drop. It’s early days and we must remain patient.

Also, Elton Welsby on twitter is convinced that Usmanov is coming. How accurate he is these days I don't know.

Can you imagine if Usmanov came in with huge Chinese investment as well!

I'm not going to allow myself to dream. With Moshiri we are a definite player but it will take time. With Usamov on board we have no limits to our potential. Either way Moshiri is ticking every box we hold as most important at the moment. It might take longer but he does seem to know what he's doing.
