from the metalloinvest home page mate on largest implemented projects

In September 2014, the Otkrytie Arena, the home stadium of Spartak Moscow football club, was commissioned. The stadium capacity is 45,000. The stadium is included in the list of host facilities for the 2018 World Cup. Rolled steel items for the new stadium were supplied by Ural Steel.

Rolled steel is common as muck, wouldn't read that much into it. Transporting it all the way from Russia.

It will be severfield or a similar company doing the structure.

No idea who it will be mate, but to suggest that 'if' Usmanov is a serious backer of it, that it won't have a huge positive influence on prices etc is would be wrong, honestly long as its on the docks and doesnt bankrupt us i aint a single bit bothered where the steel comes from

Alternatively rather than be glib you could spend a few minutes to actually look up the fact that USM (metalloinvest) have actually done exactly whats suggested before and supplied the steel for a stadium build.

But hey, being glib sounds cool

Erm, read what I said. I professed to know not what they do.

Other people have assumed because Steel is in the name they produce steel columns for buildings.

And, they will do the construction.

That's the joke.

I dont need to look anything up, thanks.

I think I was the first to mention the potential of Usmanov - before even Moshiri was confirmed.

What type of steel though? I'm not being funny, but steel production for construction is a select few. Even more so in the UK with Tata pulling out.

USM doesn't get mentioned here for buildings.
To be fair mate I am utterly wankered atm, so will rspind tomorrow when I have a cognac hangover. Night night sleep right

Sleep well.

I'm involved in the construction industry here and they don't pop up. Severfield do a few Stadium's and just done the Shard, they would be the most likely to do our stadium.

I could be wrong, steel production is varied to say the least

U a metal/steel expert? USM supply steel for a lot of major construction projects
