Cahill's contribution.

For that to happen we'll have to ditch our passing game and rely on percentage crossing. We've moved passed that era imo.

I've said it before ....he's only playing at 70-75% capacity...His mind is on the world cup for Australia, and has been since the start of this season.

Not jumping on anything mate. Cahill can be boss if we play to his style. The problem is we've evolve away from that and proved that we can play better with other players that we have. Rather than highlighting his poor games, I prefer to look at how well we've played when he's out injured. Man U, Chelsea and Hull were good example.

Aye, fair enough. I still think he'll start against City although as you have pointed out he probably shouldn't.

He'll naturally net the winner now I've said that.

I have been very critical of Tim myself but I strongly belive that he's having an off season, this one. Remember, this is Mr.everton for most of us over the years and his ability to pop up with important goals over the years have been unquestionable.

It may well be that now the teams have done their homework in a better way on Tim and that could be a reason for his dip in form this season. i would want him to score a bit more with his feet and headers shouldn't be his only weapon.

Maybe next season,we'll see the re birth of Tim Cahill, the one we miss

Its been tough for him. Shifted from attacking mid, to right wing, to central and even defensive mid at times for a large portion of the season.

His strike partner has often changed - Saha, Jo, now Yak. He's missed sitters a plenty he generally buries.

He's never really clicked with Saha when he did move back into his favored position. But before his injury, by the Arsenal game onwards where he got 2 assists and 2 goals, he and Saha started to work well together and he was looking like his old self.

Then Saha gets injured. Looks like Cahill's getting niggles here and there. Now he's partnered up with Yak - who worked superbly the first season Yak turned up. And that's been trying to find its footing...untill Cahill got injured.

So its a mixed bag from him so his form isnt going to be any good. He may need some games as an impact sub to build his confidence, make him watch the game from the sidelines, freshen him up more so he's 100%.

Cahill hasn't been at his best for some time, and am his biggest fan.
Osman is by far the better starting option given his performances of late.

I'd say we've played our best football when Cahill is not in the team.

I'd say that's probably the dumbest post anyone has ever posted on any football forum in the history of the internet.

You sound like you really hate Tim Cahill, which is bizarre given all the goals/crazy celebrations he's given us over the last few years.

The last couple of posters here have really hit the nail on the head. He's just been shifted around too much, combined with injury, combined with new heads in the squad.

I think Timmy must of cut you off in his Maserati somewhere.

Spot on post, but the rumors have it that he has a Bugatti/Lamborghini :D
